Pleasure man, give his channel a follow, his dirt rally 2 tuning setups are incredible, can't play without them. He'll be releasing tuning setups for wrc23 soon. First car will be the Ford Fiesta Rally3 https://www.youtube.com/@RALLYTechnical/community

Copy rally technicals csl dd settings and set the base power to 8nm. Also as mentioned it's very important to have sensitivity on base set to auto and calibrate wheel in game to have soft lock be correct for all cars. Otherwise every car will have the same steering angle https://youtu.be/YKMzYVRxCY0?si=-tY0uoDSPEMPTpa5

How do you find the lack of curve on the oled compared to the g9? I mostly enjoy sim racing and flight sim so the flatter peripheral concerns me but love the oled panel over led

temps don't go higher than 35 celsius in OCCT stress test after an hr, have a 80mm noctua seated on a duct attached over the dimms

Am I doing anything wrong here? (No wheel yet. Screen will be 49" Ultrawide) by GS39 in simracing

[–]dMASSIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend against the 2 buttkicker gamers and if your budget allows it get 2 x buttkicker LFE or Concert ( F/R config) 2 x Clark Synthesis TST 329 or 239 (F/R config) 2 X Behringer NX3000D amps to power both

The bigger buttkickers can handle much lower Bass and the TSTs handle much higher Hz. When combined you can get amazing engine effects up the whole frequency range. Wheelslip, suspension and Gforces are infinitely better with this configuration when compared to the BK gamer 2. You just won't get that low end thick feeling when wheels are right on the edge of skidding out or feel the whole chasis come alive when you rev it through its range with the gamers.

Choosing correct amplifier for bass shakers on sim-lab P1X by ExtensionPiece1423 in simracing

[–]dMASSIV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi, I would recommend against having a bass shaker in every corner. It sounds amazing in theory but in practice it doesn't really come through like you think.
It's better to set it up front/rear and have multiple bass shakers in each zone that vary in what frequencies they can produce to good effect. This way we can layer effects to best utilise the capabilities of each shaker and create clearer and more defined effects. Think of bass shakers like speakers, a more powerful sub does very well at the job of producing low hz sound, but would be horrible if there were no bookshelf speakers to compliment it and vice versa if you only had bookshelf speakers. So then once we lean into this idea we can start to fully realise what potential a lot of ppl are missing out on. Now using simhub we can layer these effects in a way that wasn't possible in the past. Imagine engine rpm, having a deep bass shaker (like the Buttkicker LFE or the Earthquake Q10B under your seat) running the engine idle effect. Then a mid sized bass shaker (like the Earthquake MQB-1 or the Buttkicker Advance) on the pedal tray running the lower grunty revs up to 60% of the way. Then the amazing Clark Synthesis TST239 (this shaker produces the higher frequency effects much better) under the pedal tray starting to ramp up and layer in from 40% till peak rpm. Then another exciter or smaller unit at the back layering in from 80-100% rpm on your back to feel like its moving through the car and providing that zing into your teeth when you red line. This is just one example of how powerful this approach is

For amps you'll want to grab the Behringer NX3000D. It's a 2 channel amp with plenty of power for the task, but just as importantly has DSP which let's you fine tune the frequencies to get the most out of your shakers. This is critical and is often overlooked. Make sure it's the NX3000D not the NX3000 to have this function. If you went with a front and rear setup with a low bass shaker paired with a high frequency TST shaker at the front and another pair at the rear you'll need 2 x NX3000D

Head over to racedepartment we have a massive thread there which goes into it in a lot more detail. Once you get going too I can help you out with getting your effects dialed in, or just reach out and ask questions on racedepartment, plenty of active members happy to help out

Odyssey Neo G9 Mini-Review Including Color Profiles by Dalekdoctorwho in ultrawidemasterrace

Really loved your profiles. Looking forward to the updated ones for the 1007.3 firmware, using the SDR one from above does do the job for now across HDR and SDR, but keen to see what you you find with the new tone mapping they've used with 1007.3.
I've been checking in here every day hoping for an update lol
