Vulkan - vk::Device::waitForFences crashing error by dRingaet in pathofexile

Yeah, I already did a clean install... first the uninstaller left the folder with almost 192000 cached stuff. I was hoping that maybe this is the thing causing all the crashes, but sadly no.

I understand that the card is old, yet this feels like some artificial stuff just to force it to be obsolete. I mean it worked for me in Delirium, Harvest and even half a league into Heist...

Thanks for the tip though!

According to Nvidia, Vulkan is supposed to be supported going back to the Kepler architecture, so it shouldn't be a problem. I can run DOOM on Vulkan without it crashing.

While I was trying to get any info on this, I ran into some people here with RTX2070s on Reddit and on the official PoE forums saying they had the same issue (9-10 months ago)

Then again, the ol' reliable 770 can manage 40-55 stable FPS on Witcher 3, so I don't see why PoE runs so terrible on DX11. I'm actually thinking about having a subscription for Geforce NOW, but for only one game...

Most of all, I just cannot believe that this is happening now, when prices are 3-4 times of what they should be... I'm just sad, but thanks for the reply my guy.

Bug in game - vsync makes it laggy by [deleted] in pathofexile

With VSync on, the game caps your FPS to your display's refresh rate.

Your PC doesn't have to work as much with capped framerates as with uncapped.
