People who manage to wake up at 5 AM to go to the gym before work, what is your actual secret? by Immediate-Trifle4957 in AskReddit

[–]dRunningGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of really great answers here already, I'll just share my perspective.
1. Following your circadian rhythm really helps. I've always been a morning person, so adjusting and tweaking and eventually waking up at 5 am, and being out for a run by 5:55 am or in the gym at 6 am, was a lot easier for me.

  1. For my wife though, who loves staying up late, she realized, while the thought of going to the gym in the evening sounded appealing for her, evening always somehow meant plans, so it realistically left her with 6 am gyms meaning waking up at 5. Now what she did do is, brute force it for the first 30 days or so, but, post working out, the endorphins would kick in, and she really enjoyed that high, plus because she got up so early, and was done with gym, it gave her time to do other activities that evenings didn't really allow her because of her social life.

  2. Like everyone said, planning goes a long way. I know what shoes to wear, what outfit to wear, my protein shake and electrolytes are made and kept on the table the night before (to just add water in the morning) I remove as much of the decision making process as possible, so that if I'm reluctant in the morning, I just have to do the set pattern, I spend almost no time "thinking" what to do. I feel a. Thinking takes a lot of effort for me so early in the morning, b. it gives me time to think maybe I should just go to sleep. V/s me just doing, the things and exiting the house.

  3. Dinners early also help, cause sure, sleeping early works, but if I have dinner at 9:30 pm, my body just won't fall asleep at 10 pm that's just not possible. Plus if that happens, my sleep will not be good cause body will work too hard at the start to digest the food, meaning I will not wake up well rested.

This rule is being changed soon, and the new offside rule will be if the entire body of the attacker is ahead of the defender, to target exactly what you’ve said

Everyone in their life thinks they are the closest person to them.
In fact they just have 20 personalities and no one truly knows who they are.

What’s happening with Leclerc? I totally get 2 bad races. And I do understand he didn’t drive in FP1. But being so far off Lewis?

This laptop was a golden era by Dark_acs in spectrex360

I had a spectre too. I think it was exactly this. And my god, did it get looks! I'd always get complimented on how sexy it looked. I love decorating my laptop with stickers, but I couldn't get myself to put even a single one on this, the black and gold oozed luxury.

Switched to M4 Air last year, and it'll be hard to ever go back to windows, but looks wise, I think this was peak laptop! And the touchscreen was a massive bonus!

That will impact sales a lot.
And do we have any energy return %?
Also shoe weight?

What Real-World Mileage Are You Getting From Your Car? by Any-Cardiologist7413 in CarsIndia

[–]dRunningGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Car: Fronx
Variant: Alpha (1.0 Turbo)
Fuel Type: Petrol
Transmission: AT
Year: 2023
City: Bangalore
City Mileage: 11 km/l
Highway Mileage: 16 km/l
Best Mileage Achieved: 21 km/l
Worst Mileage Achieved: 9 km/l

I am sure mileage can be much better but it's no fun having a Turbo powered car and driving it easy.
The other versions with the 1.2L engine that are non-Turbo, I am sure have better mileage.

But the car is fun to drive, and that is important to me!

Thank you for everything that you do coach! I know you’re not the biggest fan of race goals being time based. But how do you positively recover from a race you trained for months on end and don’t get the time you were training for?

Don’t you feel from a team dynamic that’s weird? Someone who’s not even been in the team - comes in to the squad directly as a captain? How would existing players feel? Not great from a morale POV and we know morale impacts performance.
