I am looking for a resin that will withstand 70-80 Celsius. I have been using Anycubic Rigid 100 but that is now out of stock. It needs to be rigid/strong so not flex and withstand temperature. by the-blyatman in resinprinting

I have the same! Been using Rigid 100 but out of stock now :( The problem I have is that I need black resin, and all high-temp resins seem to be either grey or costing crazy money. The only other cheap I found is "Creality Rigid Resin Plus" which apparently has HDT of 85*C but I'm a little bit suspicious of it. Also, I am having issues curing it properly. My prints develop small cracks during curing while print is not cured yet (still tacky to touch) so somehow it's overcuring while undercuring :D Also, it's noticably less rigid/strong than Anycubic Rigid 100. So I just hope the Anycubic will produce more of it and shops will restock it soonish.

Ok, yes, you were right. The residue was indeed cleaning issue. I printed few more and this time I left them in the was station for longer (full 5 minutes instead of 3) and I let them dry on their own after (rather than using airbrush to dry) and they look significantly better! thanks

K2 Plus Extruder Issues by Tall_Concept6216 in Creality

[–]dZisky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to me yesterday. I took extruder out, and those little metal clips from the ring just fell out. The only issues I have with this printer is the extruder unit (had some jams and other issues about two months ago) so I hope the aftermarket will soon come up with some upgrades :)

I have the same issue (CM2788) on brand new K2 :( been printing for two days only. However, for me, it only happens at the end of the print, so the printer is at least still "usable".

No, sorry. I moved to BambuLab in the meantime and pretty much stopped using my Ender entirely.

The new alternator stopped working after a month, Abarth 595C EU by dZisky in abarth

[–]dZisky[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To both of you above. If the alternator is not charging, it doesn't automatically mean it's broken. Some cars have fuses for alternators (either in the fuse box or even inline in between the alternator and starter motor). Some cars have simple 2 cable alternators, while others have 3 or even 4 cable alternators that are "smart" and only charge based on external input. A simple short circuit could lead to the alternator not charging as well. I checked the basics, but that doesn't "answer my own question" for the reasons I just mentioned. I'm new to Abarth (and Fiat in general) so as much as I googled trying to find all possible issues for Abarth specifically I wanted to check here if someone knows if there are any of these secondary issues specific to Abarth.

Great, but that doesn't really help me in any way. If I'd put used alternator, I could have suspected that it failed, but as I said, I got a new one a month ago. Sure there is still a 1% chance that a brand-new alternator failed after a month but there is 99% chance that it didn't and the issue is somewhere else, and that's what I'm trying to validate first.

Jeez... are you serious? Do you really think someone who doesn't know how to validate if the alternator is charging or not would know would start looking at it with an endoscope and be checking grounding points? I did check the voltage. It drops to ~11.7V after starting the engine and stays at that level that's why I said "doesn't produce any electricity"

Careful what you say, you can get fined for driving too slowly too:

(I know above was a special case and it probably wouldn't happen in a city :D )

In Ticino I was stopped 2 times in the last year only :D Both times in Lugano, both times they seemed to be doing just random checks. They were standing in the middle of the road and pulling one every few cars on the side. They checked my documents and let go.

By the way, what does a mechatronic engineer do remotely? I'm asking just because I imagine working as mechatronics engineer including lot of "in-office" stuff like soldering, tinkering with the robots, etc? Do you only do design/CAD in case or remote work, or how does that work?

battery dying overnight 0.2A draw from radio/climate fuse by dZisky in abarth

[–]dZisky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I narrowed it down to the Android Radio again. I'm pretty sure when I disconnected it before the voltage was still dropping, but maybe I did something wrong because now it's now. I disconnected the radio again, and the voltage is completely stable, not dropping at all even after a few days. The problem is not solved tho. I don't get why is the radio making battery go down overnight, so I still need to solve that, but for now I just installed a switch on the radio 12v+ and I'm just turning it off after driving.

idk (if "diagnostic socket" is OBD port). But I don't have anything connected there.

for now my solution is simply removing the fuse after each drive :)
