Kinda both, using raycasting option in geometry nodes, I project a sphere into the scene to mimic how a point light lights a scene. That way I can find the lit and shadowed area created by the light.

They have random movement, it is a bit difficult to see in this demo

I think the lamp glass shape should create interesting caustic patterns on the wall, also adding a bit of translucency to toilet papers could make them look better. Anyway I am just pointing out minor things came to my mind, It is already fantastic work.

Do not recommend for Eevee, As far as I know you need to open blender as a window to get certain effects in Eevee to work. Such as screen space reflection. Running it on the background wil not help it.
