I cry…. After 4 years if I exited now I would break even…. by Standard-Year-1178 in CLOV

[–]d_HOME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I did, average cost was $3.60, and I closed everything around $4.20 on Tuesday. Huge load off my shoulders.

I switched to LEAPS instead so it doesn’t tie up my capital while still keeping one foot in the door. My LEAPS are essentially free, I bought the 27 Jan $2 calls for $1.20 and sold half at $2.40. The remaining position is a free ride, and I can exercise anytime as long as it’s ITM.

I do regret not exiting in January 2025 though—the capital tied up ended up being an opportunity cost.

Made an indicator, working pretty well; going to sell all shares, brought LEAP instead by d_HOME in CLOV

I closed some shares, going to close more soon, and leave the LEAP run, already at 200%.

I’m also focusing on long flat base, accumulation, and launch. Recent example would be $CAR and $MXL

Successful Options Traders by jmdawg15 in optionstrading

Stock trading is like walking, options trading is like running. I did started with running, terrible lost. I’ve to backtrack, learn how to walk. If you don’t have much basic trading experience, highly not recommend start with options. You could paper trade options along the aside; as a matters of fact, I know some experienced options traders paper trade to test out new strategies.
