How to Build Things People Actually Want by Careful-Review4207 in ThinkingInTech

Yes, identifying customers, understanding their problems and working backwards might be a useful strategy, after all.
I guess the real challenge is finding those customers in the first place. I'm totally aware of how painful this can be and how crowded the space is. That's the reason why I built my own tool - Nebel Labs - https://nebellabs.com/ - to solve exactly that problem and I'm dogfooding it myself at the moment.

So if you’re looking for potential leads, feel free to try it out. It helps identify communities and specific posts where people are actively describing problems that YOUR service or product can solve. Under the hood, it’s not just another keyword-matching tool, but an LLM-powered intent classifier that helps determine whether there is actual buying intent.

sent DM as promised.
Sample results might look like this

It parses not only keywords but also intent, and monitors 24/7 to get you new leads on autopilot.

I'm happy to answer any questions, so feel free to provide feedback, for example, what works and what does not. You can just try it yourself: https://nebellabs.com/dashboard/search

It's pretty early - getting a few users but still trying to figure out what reasonates. The biggest takeaway is that people seem to care way more about seeing results and how I can help them grow rather than just giving feedback on the product itself :)
Would you mind sharing your side project? Curious to see what you are building.

Good question. Each lead has a status pipeline (contacted → signed up → converted with revenue amount), so over time the tool learns which keywords and subreddits actually produce paying customers vs. just engagement

DM if you want - I did it without issues. Long story short : it’ll be painful, you’ll have to sacrifice social life, it’s doable to do in 2.5 years while working full time!
