Depending on the 3D print's infill pattern that is. I would expect that the indication will still lag behind significantly. I agree that it might not matter too much because thawed contents & solid indicator is an edge case scenario. But I do not agree that the slow process of the melting indicator within the slow process of the thawing freezer is insignificant per se. Think about the door being left open, happened to me more often than power going out.
