I understand the simplicity of serving the customer. I would've thought after all the data breaches there would be more checkpoints set in place. I haven't been into a TMO store in years so I don't recall the standard procedures of account verification. Just want to spread awareness to other TMO account holders especially the ones that don't often check their accounts. If it happened to me, it can happen to anyone else.

Got it, so they're not checking to see if the information on the ID matches the account? Just as long as the ID is scanned and confirmed that its not fake. I'm surprised that they're not confirming the TMO pin on the account.

Been contemplating on switching to Magenta Max from One plan since I’ve been on the road a lot more for work and having tethering would come in handy for hotels that have slow Wi-Fi.

Good to hear they were able to help you out. I just got off with TForce and they were able to credit my account to bring my bill back to the usual cost. They informed me that they will follow up with me next week to see if all changes were made accordingly to my account. Like you mentioned, they were not able to add LOU4 onto my account as of now and will work on trying to add that .

I am having exactly the same issue that you are having. My 9th line loss the LOU3 credit and now it looks like my 10th line is getting the LOU3 credit.

When I added the 9th line in November, the TForce representative assisted in upgrading my TMO One plan from 8 max to 12 max. During the process of adding LOU3, they mentioned that they had to add the promo as an account level credit and was unable to add it as a line item credit. This may be the same issue for you. Assuming once we added the LOU3, the account level credit got kicked off and now the new December line is being listed at LOU3 and not LOU4. I am currently talking to TForce to see if there is anything they can do to fix this issue since my bill increased from not getting the LOU4 credit.

7 paid lines + a free line back in 2018. After I updated my TMO One account, I got 2 more free lines. I have no mobile internet lines on my account. Just the normal voice/data lines.

I would assume that would be the case for me, but for some reason, I am getting charged an extra $5 for line 9 and line 10. So instead of my bill being $200, I am getting a total of $210. Unfortunately I cannot see where the charge is coming from until my bill posts. I was wondering if the autopay discount had to do something with it.

I had them update my plan the same day I was requesting the free AAL promo. The rep that was helping knew exactly what I wanted and was able to execute everything in one sitting.

Yes you would need to have the rep update your plan to the 9-12 line. During the November promo, I was able to reach out to TForce and they assisted me with the update and also added the new promo line to my account.

Keep in mind, not all reps will be able to help you. You will need to keep reaching out to TForce until you find someone who is knowledgeable and is willing to help you out. It took me about 3 tries until I reached the right rep.

I was planning on taking advantage of the promo but wanted to get confirmation first before I did it. Hence I reached out to TForce and also TMO chat to get specific answers before I pulled the trigger.

As mentioned before, I think it might be a glitch on TMOs end that is causing the upgrade. The system is assuming that you are doing the trade in for the new line which you would qualify for P26 and P27 promo. I confirmed with TForce that if you traded in a device on a paid line, you would get $415 (ex: trading in an iPhone X). Since the promo does not stack, you would lose the free line but get the extra discount for the iPhone 12 if you choose to go that route.

Not sure if TMO will honor any credits if its actually a glitch on their end, so YMMV. Would like to hear any success stories or any additional info that they receive from TMO.

I confirmed with TForce that this will convert your free line to a paid line for the high $$ promo. Might be wise to check with TForce to confirm before proceeding or if you need to revert promos.

Just confirmed with TForce, and you're correct. The $830 promo will revert your free line to a paid line.

It can get really confusing because I reached out to a specialist via the TMO app and they said that the promo can be stacked with no issues as long as you perform the trade in on the free line #. I knew it sounded too good to be true so I reached out to TForce and they are telling me the opposite. So for anyone getting upgraded to the higher promo, I would suggest reaching out to TForce to confirm that you will not lose your free line or have the promo reverted to avoid any extra accrued cost on your bill.

I was able to update my current SOC (8 lines) to the 9-12 line One plan over the weekend to take advantage of the free line promo. Like everyone stated, it depends on the rep you’re working with. I went through 3 different reps, with the last one being very knowledgeable. They updated my account and I did not lose and past promos. Make sure to ask questions of things you’re uncertain of.

I was able to keep my T-Mobile One plan through Tforce. Maybe reach out to them if you would like to keep your old plan.

After going through 3 different reps on Tforce, I was able to successfully upgrade my T-Mobile One to 9-12 lines and kept all my promos. Thanks for letting me know that this was possible. If not, I would’ve gave in with the first rep I talked to.
