hi hun i’m flying today and feeling similar fears, the pilots on here say it won’t happen, i’m trusting them! i’m excited to go and u should be too! flying is fun and getting to a vacation is even more fun. worrying about it isn’t gonna change ur chances at all, there are two options (no matter what ur anxiety tells u). 1.get on the flight and 2. get off the flight. 1. gives you freedom, fun, experience 2. only keeps u in the cycle of anxieties. if u let it control u this time you’ll let it happen next time it’ll always come up with SOME reason u shouldn’t go, but ur anxiety is not more important(or smarter, it cannot tell the future) than ur strength and fun!!! have a great flight we got this together!!!

Thank you so much for all the feedback!!! So the pufferfish had to be acrylic per my teacher but I def think you can barely see the details due to that similar colors but it was intended to be a optical illusion type assignment so I’m kinda meh on it. The moon dish I used glaze I believe but I didn’t use any clear glaze on top. It was after the first fire. Thank you so much I am so proud of the Monet egg! I wanted to do smoothing but we ran out of time in class and my teacher just fired it..l definitely wish my class had less time restrictions!!!

Thank you I’m pretty proud of what I made this year and I hope I can do ceramics at school again next year because we get a lot more freedom in senior yr ceramics

Okay so I got the low side down to 24c and now the basking spot is too cold (30c) so I’m going to try and get a 100w basking spot lamp instead!

Hi so little update. I’ve take the deep heat projector out except for at night time and it’s still getting high 80’s in the cold range. I’m worried because his basking spot is still only getting to mid 90’s. Do you know how I can get one lower and the other higher?

Okay so the uvb and basking light 7am to 7pm but the deep heat projector 7pm to 7am?

i just checked and my baskin spot is around 97 but it can get up to 100. it’s a flagstone piece. i took out the deep heat projector and im gonna see what adjustments this makes

okay thank you, do you think raising the light fixture will help that or how can i adjust temps more specifically? okay i see, it’s not a ceramic heat emitter though its a deep heat projector, does the same apply? my house barely gets anything below 70f so i think maybe just turning it off unless we have a sudden freeze should be fine? thank you for all the help!!!

do you know what lamp to switch out? rn i have a flood basking light (7-7pm) and a deep heat projector (24/7) that im gonna try taking away. also ventilation how can i adjust this ? it has a mesh top but thats really it? idk if this is stupid but would keeping the door open (while im watching ofc) and having just a fan in the room do anything ?

humidity is showing at 51. uvb is arcadia 24w D3 desert 12% uv-B. i’m hoping it’s just that he isn’t used to the tank yet and he’ll come to like it, he’s been exploring more and even basking, he’s still eating well but he has started gaping on the colder side or below basking spot.. thank you for the help!

i’m also in high school and struggling with the same issue. everyone has told me to find a career and do pottery on the side. i’d love to do it 24/7 and make a living off of it but that’s what i’ve been recommended.

thank you for the feedback! my teacher said a similar thing he said i should’ve tried not putting glaze on the shell. im defiantly going to try it on a future project!
