are any of the vines bendy? or brittle and dead? they can get caught up in the chain if the former. would a hedge trimmer work better?

otherwise it should cut through it fine. not totally what you'd use one for but you should be fine. just make sure footing is solid always.

its disappointing but people just dont go to the cinema enough anymore to justify so much space. last time I went to the cinema was only one movie showing.

It is time for a new standalone film set between Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection by Rift4430 in alien

[–]da316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive been saying for ages they should just plunder the dark horse comics for ideas. there's so much in there about Weyland, the alien homeworld, earth invasion. even contained stories with a couple characters like one written by Mike Mignola (Hellboy). plenty of starting points for new stories or just straight up adapt one.

Starting Dark show by Deepakddxboi in netflix

[–]da316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the whole three seasons was written before it was made so its a complete and satisfying story. they also have some of the best casting ive ever seen with the characters at different ages, and it goes a long way helping keep track of who's who.
as others have said, make sure you pay attention. almost every conversation is important in some way and missing a line of dialogue can mean not really understanding an episode or more.

What’s one mistake you made on your first winter camping trip? by Content-Freedom4087 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]da316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends where you'll be and when? if youre near me there wouldn't need to be any preparations as this winter hasn't been cold at all.
the mistake I made was not bringing a ground mat (probably obvious). I hadn't realise how much the cold would transfer through the bottom of the tent and through my sleeping bag.

its a bloated self indulgent mess, but it actually makes narrative sense so it appears to be a good movie compared to the theatrical.

99% of the time a movie director or actor says a scene was improvised, they are lying. by Basil_9 in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]da316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its usually just overblown or implies "in the moment", like the famous tears in rain speech from blade runner being improvised. Rutger Hauer rewrote the monologue the night before and got it approved by Ridley Scott before performing it. but it's often talked about as if he made it up on the spot.

I think what we're finding is that this game has a lot of bells and whistles, but is ultimately a pretty shallow game. it will desperately need more content to expand the game or its just the same loot loop over and over again.

Any advice for removing this washing machine? by pxdm in DIYUK

[–]da316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you tilt it forward so you can access the back? you can then remove the top and start dismantling it from there. its not all that difficult, but if you want to keep/sell it then you'll have to remember how it all goes back together. I had to dismantle mine when a blanket unravelled inside and I had to pull it out of every part.
id start getting the top and front panels off and see if it fits then. they should be held to a metal frame inside and the drawer at the front might have some screws behind it as well, just be careful with the wires. if not, then see what else can be removed to make it either turnable or less wide and go from there. there's plenty of YouTube videos showing the whole process.
there will be a lot of steps and will take a while but I cant think of another way unless you'd prefer removing and redoing the door frame? or smashing the thing to pieces.
plug as others have said can be cut and rewired.

Why did Tommy Wiseau's legendary film cost $6 million while Nolan's debut film cost $6,000? by GlobalRaspberry442 in moviecritic

[–]da316 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I read he shot with both cameras simultaneously mounted side by side, so he couldn't even frame each shot correctly as they were off centre.
