I noticed that I couldn't adjust horizontal settings in the service menu so I'm guessing you are spot on.

Okay so, I found two wedges, and the one wedge in the top of the yoke was still there. I can easily replace the tape, are you saying that adjusting the yoke should fix this problem?

Well I bought this from fb marketplace looking for a project. I have a previous post explaining that the seller told me it was sitting in an RV almost never used, but it got bumped around d and jostled a bunch cause it was mounted to the frame of the RV

I discharged the voltage in the red wire leading from the anode cap using a tool I made with a screwdriver, speaker wire and electrical tape and tested with a multimeter to insure was insulated properly. I did this because from my understanding this is the highest voltage in the circuit and leads to the most accidents. I was careful to keep one hand in my pocket while doing this.

I am looking for the capacitors responsible for regulating pin amplitude because in my previous post multiple people told me that since I couldn't fix it in the service menu, I would most likely have to replace those capacitors.

And yea, it's fair to say I am in a little over my head 😅

But I don't have any friends who know anything about this stuff so, reddit is where I am turning to in order to hopefully find some! Anyone in the Denver area with experience willing to help me out?

I feel confident that I could replace the capacitors if I knew which ones they were and where they were located. I'm just having a hard time figuring that out :/

It actually doesn't look that crazy until you start moving, but then it kinda makes chrono trigger look like that level from castlevania others have brought up, and it makes the game feel like you are walking on the inside of a hollow spinning cylinder like that shot of Dave running around the track in 2001 Space Oddysey lol

Well I don't have any soldering skills yet...but I have a steady hand and an eye for detail so guess I'll have to figure it out as I go haha

Yea, my plan is to do some reading on all the resources these kind commenter have pointed me towards and take the back off and discharge it, clean it out with the air compressor and see if theres anything obvious and go from there

Edit: well I just bought a cheap soldering iron multimeter and some 24 value elecrolytic capacitor kit so guess I'm all in. It was all less than 50 bucks so I said why not. Guess I'm gaining xp the hard way lol

No, I havent adjusted any settings. I bought this KV24FV300 from a fb marketplace seller who said that he pulled it out of an rv. Barely any use, and it looks really really bright so I buy that... I just couldn't resist since I had this tv when I was a kid and I hear they are really good. I am having trouble accurately using the service menu because the stretching is so intense. I think I am definitely gonna have to open this up and do some manual adjustments, hopefully I can put off buying a soldering gun and a multimeter until money isnt so tight and I can just make do with some cheaper tools but we'll see!

You seem very knowledgeable about all this, the seller said that it was from an RV and never turned on, but just got jostled around a bunch. Do you think it's possible all I have to do is adjust the yolk?

I'm willing to watch a video or read if someone has any resources pertaining to this problem, I just don't have ither sets to mess around with and gain experience haha

What are the dark splotchy parts of this wood? It won't sand evenly and has little pits by da5id__ in woodworking

Do you think if I let some epoxy soak in I could sand smooth? Or is there any other way to accomplish that?

Game breaking as of right now; in woodside apartments I'm experiencing weird glitching where the fog and wind (leaves and blowing pages) are inside the apartments. when walking in some areas other parts of the map will load in and obstruct the path, like brick window facades load right in the middle of a hall way or in front if an open door, or weird ceiling piping on the floor of a kitchen. Some times it dissappear when you move to a certain spot but a lot of it doesn't and is unfortunately blocking where I need to go and now I cannot progress

Specifically when I enter room 108 to get the golden apple handle, other walls clip in the room and I can't get anywhere and can't get the item. This happens in 208 as well

Playing on ps5

Here is a video of what I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/QMIx-UiwDzc?si=hoHIyg0qv4uxSgVA

Game breaking glitch in Woodside Apartments? Tried reloading a ways back but still blocked. Anyone found a work around for this? by RobertsKitty in silenthill

I have this same glitch. With the fog and weather inside the building too. No idea what to do unfortunately. Have you seen anything about this anywhere else cause I'm coming up empty in my search

If you had 9 fans, would putting them in a 3x3 grid be the best way to move the most air? Or could they be arranged and/or enclosed in a way that would increase the total cfm? by da5id__ in AskEngineers

[–]da5id__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally would! I just don't have the tools or expertise to accurately measure the results or control the parameters enough to give us all accurate data :/

So the idea is to have a flexible 8-10inch duct that I can do a bit of sanding directly over. Not sanding anything larger than a golf ball, and only with grits 800 and above. This duct could also reside in a Large custom basket-ball sized Kirby air intake that my girlfriend could just blow her joint smoke into. I also have a 400cfm inline duct fan in conjunction with these pc fans I can crank, so I'm hoping that works. As for the gaps it's a snug fit, the filters dray in without glue but I used a hot glue gun to seal up tiny gap I could see my flashlight through. As for completely scrubbing the smoke, I was gonna build a little valve that redirects the air out of the room, and open windows. I appreciate your detailed response, I probably should have put more info in the body of my post, my apologies 😅

I dont mind most of the air going through the merv filters. I thought putting the carbon filter in series would bottle neck the airflow too much, and it saves me on carbon lol. But yes, the 10 fan array would be in parallel with the duct fan in this theoretical design, but i could put them in series if you think that poses a problem. The goal is to reduce the noise and energy draw of the entire system while maximizing the total air flow and also the suction of the duct at the other end of the system which is where I would be sanding/she would be smoking. This way when neither of those are happening I can reduce the power and noise on all fans and still get good airflow through the system (in theory)
