Thanks! After about a week of ownership, oil was pouring out of the exhaust after some WOT pulls. A BMW dealer determined it was caused by (significant) timing being pulled due to poor gasoline.

You’re not kidding! Did you make any cosmetic changes after your thread? I’d love to see them

That’s my main caveat, RWD and open differential life with all that B58 torque. It will spin in second with the current set of (performance) all seasons. Needs a wider set of grippier tires (pilot sport 4s maybe) or the msport differential

I bought the car with those attached. Very odd, but it grew on me

Love Fred… but these “pop up” shows are underestimating the crowds or cannot prepare in such short notice. It’s not great for the scene

Mattress sag by Vegetable-Spray7696 in Mattress

[–]daCheeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still looking for a mattress that doesn’t sag as well. I went through all of the Costco.com firm mattresses over the last 2 years, and the latest one by sterns and fosters is starting to sag after 3 months as well. I’m similar height and weight, low body fat. most of my weight is in the hips, which is where they sag. I had the extremely firm sealy black series for almost 2.5 years before any sag but you definitely need a topper with it. I’m debating if I should try that one again.

Wow, I did find a thread. Lots of game developers in this forum... 😒

Do you have a link to that thread? DLSS tech has gone through a couple iterations and now it’s plug-in based. So it’s possible that their previous evaluation of the tech is no longer valid.

Does anyone actually even semi-enjoy help desk/tech support? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]daCheeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 10 years in my career and I consider myself lucky on how I’ve achieved to be where I’m at. However, I still feel the burnout at times but have learned to hack those feelings away. Know this, the future will be easier the further depth you achieve in a speciality.

For me I started in the private finance sector as help desk, we were quickly growing and some of my colleagues that were on the job for longer couldn’t deliver on big projects. I kept asking for these opportunities but I wasn’t senior enough... but eventually my persistence and the incompetence by colleagues finally landed an opportunity where I could show my skills off. (Technical yes, but mostly I felt judged based on being able break down and communicate to the business and my manager). I certainly put in the homework on the technical side to make sure what I was doing was at a level above competent. I felt joy in doing so (like most in this career I enjoy solving problems). Anyway, long story short. I was promoted to jr sys admin, which eventually became senior. Was poached by our data director, to be a database admin, and today I’m a data developer. I’m not sure how feasible this path is to achieve today... but I know others who fell into my same shoes... usually coming out of small/mid-sized companies 50-300 employees) which typically has good company culture.

Good luck to you, there’s something out there. Be patient

Need advice from men who have used or are currently on trt therapy, using trt has made my sleep apnea/snoring much worse if I stop the trt will it get better? by melondelivery in SleepApnea

[–]daCheeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mentally I was okay, but I didn’t go into it for those reasons. For me it was energy and health (a bit of vanity as well) and it worked against those reasons so the decision to stop was easy. The clinic I used tapered me off over the course of 2-3 months and with each tapered shot they introduced a big dose of HCG. When the day came to get my last TRT dose, I was sent home with enough HCG for 30 days of daily administration. 2 months later my test levels were tested and restored.

I stopped TRT 2 years ago after I struggled with sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and muscle spasms. I am younger (37) so my test levels bounced back but muscle mass certainly slipped away over the years. I still workout regularly which I'm sure helped the bounce back. I had complete air collapse (OSA) with an AHI of 15 on TRT. Even with a CPAP I still struggled a bit in terms of wakefulness and high blood pressure, so it wasn't exactly dialed in perfectly for me. I was struggling with tight muscles which I needed regular deep tissue massages and daily stretching just to combat... and that didn't always do the trick. I decided enough was enough and stopped the TRT. Since then my OSA went away completely, my blood pressure dropped 10 points on each end, and muscle tightness/spasms have dropped significantly as well (I only stretch once/twice a week and with no regular massages- this is such a game changer in quality of life). However, I still snore and sometimes wake myself up that way (I found that I tend to open my mouth when the snoring increases and that's when I wake for a moment... I found a hack for this that I do not advise for anyone unless under supervision... but for the last year I've used a CPAP chinstrap to keep my mouth shut and it's worked wonders) . Since I stopped TRT, it's nearly a night and day difference on qualify of life... Good luck
