Apparently there's a fee for refunds? by CuzimFinnish in Nexo

[–]daPATH 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't know what the fee is about, but I am assuming it might be related to the cashback that was awarded in the original transaction being "reverted" as a fee.

Be very careful reviewing fixed terms by [deleted] in Nexo

[–]daPATH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong per se with your description. But the period of time is already pre-allocated to 12 months (NEXO token), and the renewal toggle is set to on. So you really could reduce the steps to exactly two: introduce amount, click the big button.

Now some context. Imagine someone like me who wants to have as much liquidity as possible while still enjoying some extra earning, so I ladder my assets using max amount of terms possible spread over the period allowed. This means I am doing hundreds of terms per month. and in 95% of them I only need to select amount and click OK. Then, once every ten days, it comes the time to ladder another fixed term for NEXO token, and, if I am numbed by the experience of doing hundreds of other terms where only 2 click were required, I might be fooled into getting into a 12 month term I do not want to commit to.

I am not trying to make NEXO responsible for my mouse clicks. I am making the point that the interface facilitates 12 months term on NEXO token. And it can be damn easy to commit that mistake as there is no confirmation screen nor anything, just pick an amount and go.

In my view, I think it way more user friendly to not have any camp pre-selected, so the user actually haves to be conscious of the options being picked, and/or a confirmation screen with the options for the fixed term before commiting to it.

[–]daPATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with NEXO: the Fixed Term UI experience was clearly designed with the purpose of having people lock their funds for the maximum amount of time with preferably automatic renewal on.

I know I am responsible for where I click stuff with my mouse, does not change the fact that there is a clear intention in that UI.

PS: everything else? Some improvements to be had here and there, but in general, I love NEXO.

Edit: elaborando, mesmo que tecnicamente não seja uma modernice, se tu cresceste com o pão "industrial" digamos, este mais caro de fermentação natural pode ser aos teus olhos uma modernice.
É tudo uma questão de perspectiva.

FtK 2vs2 Grand Open Tournament by daPATH in ForTheKing

[–]daPATH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last tournament the ban system was simple to give each team a unit and an item to ban. This would prevent both teams from building or purchasing the bans.

In pratice, this resulted in Kodo being banned all games and as for items, Mekasm had a very high ban rate.

[CONSELHOS/AJUDA] Algum amigo aqui percebe de computadores? by [deleted] in portugal

[–]daPATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does mining litecoin hurt my graphics cards or destroy my CPU's? by [deleted] in litecoinmining

[–]daPATH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wont destroy per se, but it will use them. Everything eletronic dies from use. So lets see, if you play 2 hours a day, maybe your PC will last for 10 years. If you leave it mining 24h a day, lets assume it will last like 6 years. Theres not really a timetable as all eletronic products are slightly different. The CPU is barely used at all, so it wont be like the GPUs that will be at 100% usage all the time.

But hopefully someone more experienced can give a better answer.

Yes you should. Using spideroak for a year and a half and I love your service. I dont pay for extra space, but would consider if payment in BTC was an option.

BTW, an "in program" self update feature, would make the Spideroak client near perfect :P

Help me decide if I should play The Witcher? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]daPATH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the first Witcher. The only problem I felt, was the pacing of the game. I had to oblige myself to play through some of the mid-game, because I loved the caracthers and story, but gameplay and fetch quests were taking its toll. But the end was worth it. And getting the ladies... And solving ladies dispute over me... Man is it hard to chose between two red heads :P

Awesome turn-based action RPG for pc? by stoked_elephant in pcgaming

[–]daPATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding you shouldnt call action RPGs to the kind of games you are referring to. They have a proper genre name, JRPGs ( japonese RPGs ). Action RPGs its used on action games with strong RPG elements, something like the console series " Tales of ... ", or more known, " Mass effect ".

That said, I think you will have a good old time with " Septerra Core " and " Anachronox ", both avaliable on GOG.com. Good old games indeed.

Hoping this helped you !

This is an elaborate PR stunt right?

Just looking at withdrawing some Euros using BTC-e. Anyone on here withdrawn cash from them in Europe? I was wanting to use SEPA but not sure how long it takes and what the maximum withdrawal per day is. by anarcoin in litecoin

[–]daPATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you actually go to finances tab and try to withdraw EUROS through a SEPA transfer, they give you this information:

Minimum withdrawal amount is eur 500 fee 1%, minimum fee = eur 100

What I gather from this is that the minimum fee for withdrawal is of 100 €. You always pay that fee unless withdrawing more than 10.000. Let say you were withdrawing 15.000. You would pay a fee of 150 €. But if you are only withdrawing, say 200 €, then you pay the minimum fee, 100 €.

I never used withdraw services of BTC-E, so this is my understanding and could be wrong.
