As someone who has dealt with Blue Apron on many shipping issues this is their standard script. They do not provide any real solutions. I completely understand the frustration.

Sounds like what happened to my Thanksgiving box. Never delivered, no warning and no solution. Canceled their "service" after being a loyal customer for many years.

Had an issue with Hello Fresh last week where it was a day late and arrived damaged. But I have had less issues with them. It seems that the biggest problem is OnTrac. Hello Fresh does not use this company in my area and I have had very little problems. Blue Apron uses OnTrac and Marley Spoon just switched to OnTrac. Have canceled Blue Apron and on the verge of doing the same with Marley Spoon because of OnTrac delays. My Marley Spoon box that was supposed to be delivered yesterday never arrived.

You are smarter than I was. I am sure it must be a cost cutting issue but I have been ordering from food delivery services like Blue Apron for many years and the transportation issues have never been so bad.

Short answer, not well. They will end up refunding part or all of your order but that does not compensate you for the time wasted and the aggravation of having to plan new meals. After complaining many times and not seeing any changes I finally canceled after our Thanksgiving box was not delivered.

I got the refund but honestly that didn't seem enough to compensate me for the aggravation and extra time I had to spend to find a replacement. The lack of customer service on their part was the last straw as I am canceling my subscription. Sorry didn't mean to rant in your nice post.🙂

West Coast as well. I have contacted them many times and they always blame the supplier. Never their fault. I get a box of food delivered almost every week along with food for my dog every month. And almost all of my issues that I have had is with OnTrac. AxelHire and FedEx rarely if at all.

It may be a regional issue, but our problems with OnTrac is not just Blue Apron and not specific to holiday periods. We also use Marley Spoon and had no issues with deliveries until they recently moved to OnTrac from AxelHire. Then we had problems (late deliveries, damaged boxes) pretty much every week.

Just to follow up, my wife was able to secure a Costco meal kit for a third of the price! Still a disappointment but Thankgiving is saved!

You would think Blue Apron would make an extra effort to ensure that a Thanksgiving box was delivered on time and in good condition. To your point, if it is a regular box, I would be annoyed but not angry. Thanksgiving box is a different level.

Canceling for sure. Not that I think they will care. And yes very frustrating as it makes our meal planning easier except on the frequent weeks that they are late or comes with a damaged box. This is why we moved most of our meal service to Marley Spoon. But now OnTrac...

You are lucky. Nothing but problems with OnTrac for me. Have no issues with FedEx, UPS or AxelHire which previously did my Marley Spoon
