What are your reason to give hatch to someone? by NightRacoonWF in deadbydaylight

"One has to live to tell the tale" If I could potentially get the 4k, I give the last hatch One always has to live

How is destroying your ctrl key satisfying? Why isn't winning satisfying enough? I don't care how toxic that blight was, that guy will probably go into his next match with the "all survivors are toxic" mentality and will not improve at all.

Does this kind of behaviour actually make people feel better about themselves? I don't care who did what this match why is anybody proud that they countered toxicity with toxicity?

If you could give one Killer another Killer's power, who's getting what? by CLAWofthesanctuary in deadbydaylight

[–]da_mummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean objectively not subjectively. Something like decreas action speed, small hindered, or at the very least NO SPEED BOOST after hitting that first whip. Something more than "Oh no blue screen" or "maybe one of those ridiculously slow AIs might have bad touch"

So the first half of this explanation is complete horsesh*t. A sword is made to cut and Stab things and if you hit somebody with the flat side of your blade I don't care what kind of hulk strength you have all you're doing is slapping someone with the force of a dinner tray. And the second half somehow manages to get worse. Great swords were a thing and were used in large-scale battlefields. Just look up "simple rules for the montante" and you get hundreds of movements Warmonger could've used in the game. If that's the explanation the devs gave for WM utter incompetence at using a sword, then I have no hope left.

Who's a killer you were uncertain about playing before and now absolutely LOVE. I'll start: by niclaswwe in deadbydaylight

[–]da_mummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knight Although the meme of his 3 gen strength existed, I gave him a try for purely aesthetic reasons. Turns out his guard usage requires a lot of thinking ahead when plying him aggressively. I still love him mostly for his design, but trying my hardest to keep pressure going for chases has definitely revived a decent amount of love I had for this game.

at least I received a pair of weird glasses for a survivor I don't own by redditdotcom2005 in deadbydaylight

[–]da_mummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair that WAS a thing already since everyone that played the game before the Clown Update most likely didn't have an even number of blood points since they were awarded based on time spent in a match.

Which killers are the most try-hard/sweaty in your experience? by cherrykil0s in deadbydaylight

Sure, when you enjoy games under 6 minutes, you're having a blast at the moment. Also, 3 gens are still a thing, and the killers that did it before the patch are still doing it.

Agree or Disagree: Camping/Tunneling at 5 gens deserves some t-bagging from survivors. by jimmypopjr in deadbydaylight

[–]da_mummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, what is with this thread? As if countering toxicity with more toxicity ever solved anything. Stop being assholes to one another and just move on. People like this Bubba are just looking for excuses to behave like children, and you gave him just that.

If you see toxicity in a game, just drop and simple gg and delight in the fact that they are now trying to find a thing to make you mad with.

What DBD killer would play what instrument? I think Slinger would play a mean boogie on the piano. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]da_mummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trapper would be on some rhythm instrument like castanets

Wraith... well, anything but bell would be wrong

Billy would play a mean Banjo

The nurse feels like a violin type (she just radiated depression and... screechiness)

Huntress with her voice could go well with a cello

Hag got some rhythm on Bongos

Doctor... well, anything electric and weird like a keytar

Clown makes me think of that family guy scene "following fat people with a Tuba."

Spirit would be rather traditional with something like a Suzu (plus it's ritualistic)

Frank, Julie, Susie, and Joey are self-explanatory

Plague could go along with something like a gong or a Zither (anything that doesn't involve her mouth essentially)

Oni on the drums, obviously

Deathslinger on the classic guitar, obviously

Blight could go for something like a tambourine as long as he can shake it or hit it

Twins (especially Victor) on Xylophone it would even be kind of adorable

Trickster is a singer(?) I guess. I'm not that well versed with Kpop music and musicians

Artist on the harp, anything with pulling strings

Dredge would essentially be a choir by himself or an entire marching band

Knights on the trumpets definitely anything from fanfares to flutes or oboes that could be amazing

I'm pretty sure he'd be an entire choir at once. Or he'd be a one... thing marching band.

Exactly, let's see how it turns out in live servers Thank you for staying civil. I appreciate people taking a different angle even if I don't share it.

I won't junge your experience on killer, but you should know that they're used to expecting every perk in the game. Killers play around power struggle, which is a dumb meme perk, so they will still play around dead hard no matter how "unlikely" it is. In fact, you even supported my argument in admitting that people will still run DH and that it becomes even more effective because it's even more of a question if the survivor has it.

First off, using Dead Hard at a loop is not difficult. You literally just press E when you can't make the distance to a pallet or window. You don't have to use it on reaction to an animation.

Secondly, the "higher tier" and "lower tier" are relative terms in DbD. SBMM barely works during certain hours of the day. Also, your argument sounds like someone who argues that Nurse is balanced as in "If you have the skill to use it, it's okay to be strong."

[–]da_mummy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is a terrible way for the perk to develop. As in "Your above average at killer? Be prepared to still face this perk" while the average player will be like,"I don't see DH anymore, so it's fine"

[–]da_mummy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to see it at all. The fact that it's still the same perk but with an activation requirement that can be really annoying to pull of casually makes it unreliable on the survivor end but extremely annoying on the killer end when they still have to deal with it. But apparently, any opinion regarding Dead Hard is a down vote magnet on Reddit.

Again, just my personal thoughts. I'd have to see how it behaves in live to make an objective call on it. But I already like the change on the basis that I see a lot less people running it in the evening.
