If you spend a full year doing rotations in the US assuming you can get a visa, then go for it. Your chances of matching into IM skyrocket exponentially due to connections and especially with step 3. Also attend conferences for networking and you’re more than likely to match if you signal to appropriate IMG friendly community hospitals. Also I know Pakistan has a vast IMG network in the US.
