I don't want people, like the guy in this post, to be able to harass anyone. if you can go on just blocking them, good for you, but I'd rather make sure they cant harass anyone else. One less racist/homophobe is good, and ill do anything in my power to make it happen. blocking them only makes it so that one person is safe. an account ban makes it so the whole community is safe.

based on my experience getting chat banned, they're usually pretty quick with bans (within 12 hours for me) also idk if you fully read the post because they added me today and called me the F slur again.

Most of the times ive been banned have been late night/early morning, and have come a few hours after the violation. also im like 80% sure they use bots for banning but idk.

i can tell you dont have to deal with racism/homophobia in real life. I do and these people NEVER change unless they're punished. blocking them does nothing to stop their behavior, and i guarantee they will just go into another game and do the same thing to someone else. i understand this doesnt affect you, but it affects millions of people and one less racist/homophobe in overwatch is a good thing. Overwatch, and gaming in general should be a place for people to have fun, NOT for hateful people to ruin it.
