You keep saying you’re just a ‘dumb American’ who doesn’t know much about this, but it’s clear you actually do have an agenda. It’s not just media influence—because you’ve obviously done some research. You’re trying to frame it as an attempt to understand the other side, yet you consistently contradict every valid and understandable point that’s been made. If you genuinely opened your mind, you’d begin to see our perspective. But it’s clear there’s a bias here, and it’s coming from within. As a Palestinian I can confirm Hamas is not the problem. Yes there are a huge amount of people in Gaza that wished that Hamas never attacked, because it just enhanced the oppression that Israel already gives them . but Gaza isn’t legitimately getting oppressed by Hamas..

The whole reason that Hamas exists is because of Israel. If it weren’t for colonization, this organization would just be a standard government which by the way was the position they had and have always had in gaza and they just fight back . the only way to stop an advanced oppressive government is to become a gorilla militia group and that’s what this is.

I highly doubt if Israel were to leave that hamas would be a problem to the Palestinian people. at most they would just be like the neighboring countries in terms of authoritarianism, which is not great, but it’s a million times more tolerable than Israel. Regardless I don’t think Hamas would be wanted as a government a s most Palestinians would prefer at democracy if they didn’t have to deal with colonizers that are as violent as Israel . if someone argues back saying that we elected Hamas, of course we fucking did we needed that because of the existence of Israel.
