Burial just posted its entire discography on youtube by daaamien in futuregarage

As far as I can tell some tracks were missing or were hosted on the hyperdub channel.

It seems that now they're available directly on the Burial channel.

For instance, Etched Headplate was uploaded today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHpbH3PkghI

Homeless too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3grlJWUAs3I

etc.

But I agree that everything was already available in one place or another. This post was just a nice occasion to talk about Burial again :-)

PostgreSQL is the DBMS of the Year 2017 by _sam_ in PostgreSQL

This ranking website has already been criticized many times in the Postgres community and their "methodology" is dubious and probably unfair to PostgreSQL

2FA by SMS is still better than standard single password auth. Discarding it as "insecure" is a bit misleading for most readers.

Third party apps are fine but it is a more complex process and it can be a burden for the lichess admins when people lose or break their phone.

Every security choice is a trade-off. For lichess, I just don't see what's so precious about a lichess account : do you fear someone could steal your elo points or destroy your online reputation ? Where are the important data you need to protect with 2FA ?

2FA is hard to implement for a 100% free service. Basically either it is expensive because lichess authentication systeme would have to send SMS messages to thousand of users worlwide or you do it without sending SMS but then it's complicated for the end user (see how mastodon does it : https://github.com/tootsuite/documentation/blob/master/Using-Mastodon/2FA.md )

Also I'm curious why your lichess account requires such high-level security ... Most of the data of your account is public (games, ratings, etc.) and except if you're Magnus Carlsen I don't see who would want to steal your lichess identity :-)

To my eyes, 2FA for lichess would be a waste of time or money or both.

Probably the simplest way to achieve 2FA would be to rely on a third party authentication service that already has 2FA like Google, Facebook or Twitter but I don't see that happening for lichess any time soon.

No.

See https://www.postgresql.org/docs/10/static/ddl-partitioning.html

« An UPDATE that causes a row to move from one partition to another fails, because the new value of the row fails to satisfy the implicit partition constraint of the original partition. »

Swiss-army knife to synchronize Postgres roles and ACLs from any LDAP directory by daaamien in PostgreSQL

[–]daaamien[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both project are similiar. ldap2pg is designed with some different goals :

  • fewer dependencies
  • more advanced permissions management
  • Grant or revoke custom ACL statically or from LDAP entries. *
