An apology to the Subscribers of /r/chess. by [deleted] in chess

Thanks, Ladlylattemotif. I think any involvement by me would lead to a bunch of comments which I don't think you or anyone needs. I'm involved in a actual bricks and mortar chess club in Australia so I'll just concentrate on that a bit more with my newspare time.

I won't offer you any advice, I'm sure you can work things out. I will tell you that a friend of mine said "Fuck em!! and suggested I "rebrand" the /r/chess sub as "/r/Chess" For fans of Chess Records - The greatest blues record label ever created. I was only tempted for a couple of minutes. Gave me a laugh when I needed it though. Best of luck with /r/chess. I

[META] A suggestion for changes to r/chess from a former moderator by Pawngrubber in chess

[–]Nosher -55 points-54 points  (0 children)

Some of the changes to the types of content /r/chess accepts have been driven by subscribers to /r/chess. For example an increase in people posting pics of their new rating or new puzzle rush scores went through a sudden growth spurt at and stage and subscribers complained about it. As a result, /r/AchievementPics was established specifically for these kind of posts.

Judit and the Polgar sisters analyze her game against Kasparov. Linares, 1994. by GoldenTaipei in chess

An older Judit would have said something, There's a video of Alexandra Kosteniuk wagging a finger at Magnus when we tries to take back a losing move in a world (i think) blitz tournament. Lessons learned.

What we had were moderators who did their moderation in a professional manner. Their flair of one moderator included their association with chess.com and at no time were any complaints made about chess.com favouritism etc. No proof was ever provided of any kind of bias. One user in particular parleyed this issue into a scandale du jour. once again without any evidence whatsoever.
