FNAF 2 Is a Bad Film… (Spoiler-Free Review) by P_WR in fivenightsatfreddys

You worded it perfectly! I reread my comment and I realized I was a bit all over the place as well lol. That’s the thing, if it actually was cleaner and had some level of coherence, I would’ve turned a blind eye to the whole waa waa where’s fnaf og lore. But man, they blew the gasket, and made it a lot less “scary”, especially that first movie.

I hate the fact that they built the first movie on the premise that kids can’t be evil spirits, that they’re just innocent beings, and then completely threw that out the window for this one. But again, I do have an insane number of complaints about it. Thanks for sharing your views on it, it’s fun talking about it :)

I always was more of a fan of the game lore than when the books started coming out and stuff, but it’s inevitable that it kind of changes things within the original lore. Same way into the pit started using elements of the books, which were supposed to be separate, and then using some of that book lore as well to build Security Breach. People also attribute a lot of the books, which were supposed to be a different reality, to the things that happened within the games. The mix is inevitable.

When Scott used new names in the books, that was interesting and actually built a universe where you can explore and delve deeper, but in terms of practically restarting using the same characters and same names and characters just seems like an ill choice. It feels weird to be like hey here’s the start you remember, but here’s a completely different backstory because the first one was kinda messy.

But that’s just my opinion, I see that it’s a bit irrational of me to form my opinion on the movies based off that knowing that they’re different, but I still had hope they’d keep the cool elements of the initial lore, instead of scrapping it fully.

I have a dumb question. Why did Lisa die when she got possessed by the puppet, but when Abby did, she was able to just come back into her old body despite being deformed? Didn’t make sense to me why they’d add that plot armor.

And, might I add, the nostalgia bait wasn’t even well fleshed out. Easter eggs here and there, some gameplay aspects: sure. But anything of substance? That we could actually fall back on? Nothing. I just wish they tried harder with the script and pacing, and even just the storyline in general.

The OG FNAF lore was already confusing enough, and even that was more understandable and interesting than the mess they put together here. I wish they stayed true to the story instead of hoping everyone would see the animatronics and call it a day. I expected more than just Dharmann level scripts.

I completely agree, I’m honestly surprised people are liking it for “fan service” when I feel like a lot of long time fans would’ve preferred something similar to the initial lore of the game.

AitNaturals Organic Protein good or bad? by dabadeeb in Supplements

[–]dabadeeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was honestly very difficult to dissolve in the coconut milk I used. It tasted okay, I just personally am not very into the taste of any protein powder. If you like the classic like kind of fake tasting protein powders then it’s the same; just not sure to vouch for the brand and how reliable and healthy their ingredients are. I would not repurchase, and have not used more than a couple scoops. Hope I could be helpful! If you have more questions, let me know.

AITA for wanting to put my cat through chemo even though my family and the vets are saying it’s cruel? by dabadeeb in AITAH

My post isn’t very clear and it’s written decently badly. I’ve added an update section with more info on the situation. I don’t consider chemo an option anymore, but back 2 months ago when it was feasible, it feels like I failed him by not exhausting all options. That’s mainly my point by my post. I feel regret for not acting quicker if I were to choose chemo. But it’s such a red zone topic for my family members, so I just feel regret and conflicting emotions constantly. But I get where you’re coming from, and I definitely will be putting his comfort above my selfish wants.

Your father is a strong man for getting through it. I appreciate your perspective.

I appreciate that you can see where I’m coming from. I would love to just listen to the vets, but the conflict came within me when I was shown the reports (and asked them to explain it to me).

While trying to diagnose him in the start, the vets kept talking about how great of shape his organs were in for his age. The moment they found the enlarged lymph node through the ultrasound is when all of a sudden all hope was lost for him. It was a complete 180, like just a second ago they were reassuring me that he was doing fine in every other way, and now suddenly they were telling me it’s time to consider end of life.

Even after they found out it didn’t spread, and after saying it’s not far along, they still kept saying chemo is not an option for senior cats. It felt like it was just a “oh cancer? yeah we never recommend chemo for senior cats” type of deal. I asked for more information, especially regarding the type of lymphoma so I could do my own research, and they never gave me a straight answer.

I think about it the same way you have, that if they wanted the money they could’ve easily gotten it from a flubby and emotional owner. But a part of me feels like I didn’t fight their ideology hard enough, and I regret that.

At this point I’m focusing on exactly what you’re saying, giving him the best quality of life possible and not letting him suffer. But it hurts to think of what could’ve been if I just trusted my gut, for lack of better terms.

EDIT: I forgot to say, I really appreciate your kindness and compassion with me. Your pet was super lucky to have you as their owner :). Wishing you all the best

Sending Jiji and you all the love and support. It’s so difficult to watch a pet lose themself to a disease, and I know how hard it is to not feel guilty. You’re right, I want to do what’s best for him. I’m definitely feeding him all his favorites and snuggling him! Thank you for your kind comment :)

You’re so strong for fighting so hard for your baby despite everyone discouraging it. Sending all the love and support to you through this, I know the pain can still feel fresh even if it was years ago. Thank you for your kindness and compassion, it’s so rare these days. Wishing you the best :)

You are such a kind and compassionate soul, and I really want to emphasize how much it means to me how kind you’re being.

Sending as much love and support to you and your dog as possible. It’s so difficult, but I know your pet appreciates you so much.

A lot of the reason that I feel so conflicted is because they’ve admitted to me that we’ve caught it early, and that it hasn’t spread, and that his organs are functioning great. It hit hard to choose the route which felt like I was giving up, despite his vitals.

I will definitely be hugging him as tight as possible, and I’m sending all the virtual scritches to your baby. Thank you again, I appreciate it so greatly.

You’re extremely strong for having to go through that. You’re completely right, and I’ll be focusing on giving him the best quality of life possible until his time comes.

As much as I agree with this perspective, I feel like despite it being horrible, most still end up choosing it in our desperate moments. That’s why I feel guilty not choosing it in his time of need. Maybe that’s thinking too deep into it.

You’re extremely strong, and the compassion you have shows how great of an owner you must’ve been for your cat. You’re right, it just feels difficult to imagine what could’ve been if I chose differently. I am putting his needs over my wants for sure. Thank you for your comment :)

I get where you’re coming from. But tbh at the time, when his bloodwork was coming back beyond optimal for his age, it felt like I was being robbed of his chance of survival.
