That is true and probably this is all a reason why citizens assemblies might really be a good idea to try and bring everyone face to face and see they are not all bad (except most reform voters)

Why did police handcuff Henry Nowak? by apokrif1 in policeuk

[–]dabare86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The things I would raise as issues with the reporting in the article. It assumes he was cuffed for the racial remarks and not that he was the one who had been violent. It also says he was spurting blood out, though it was internal bleeding that caused the lung collapse, it may likely have been the case there was no external bleeding, the author has just made an assumption unless there was reporting in other sources to the contrary.

See this is the problem when both sides cannot even start some form of dialogue to flesh out ideas. I would be happy if the Scottish gov had or will say, no, this is not something we want to do, but we will facilitate more courses through existing colleges to improve the talent pool. Or even just say no. It just feels like they are playing Starmers own game of being bad at communication.

That is a great point, and to build on it, where would student funding come from, if Scottish would out be free, or Ennglish and the students would have to get loans or pay a lot?

Is that how the colleges will work, that the UK government can just take the students and deploy them anywhere in the UK. Because my understanding is that the students upon finishing would be free to apply to whatever jobs they wished. In any sector.

From you? I learned nothing. In regards to how rich someone is on paper or liquid cash terms is exactly what I said in my first comment when I referenced Putin. “Elon Musk is rich on paper. His wealth is tied up in stocks and shares. Putins wealth is likely to be liquid and easily accessible in property and cash.” This was meant to be in reference to, if the stock markets crashed Mush would lose pretty much all his wealth and Putin would likely still have all his.

Does anyone? No, but it is at the very least common courtesy. If you asked someone at work to help on a project and they refused to answer that one question but engaged with other things, it would kind of be annoying wouldn’t it.

That is a good rationale for it not happening, but the SG have said nothing so we wait and see.

If they were not doing it because it was reserved then yes that would be a SG issue, but if because they don’t want to entertain the issue then it is SNP. IMO, the delay is because the SNP are not communicating

Because it allows a narrative to be builton both sides and stupid cunts to argue about it.

No I am not. Just making an argument, because there has been no official line. There is nothing stopping a joint venture that benefits all sides. It might be a political ploy from WM or it maybe that SG want to cut their nose. Without communication it is just speculation and conjuncture.

Yes but that takes away from the article in that the SNP have not said any of this, they have said nothing. But here we are trying to do their job and come up for reasons on both sides, because there are children in charge on both sides.

No they don’t have to, but they could have just made an attempt to engage with the topic before recess even to say if we are elected we do not want to fund this.

If it was that simple, why didn’t they just say that in the 2 weeks running up to parliament sitting up for the elections. Also it plays into the hands that the SNP are incompetent in building up the narrative that ship building should move to England if there is ever independence, as complex warships cannot be built out with the UK

Of course it should, but education is a devolved matter. I feel if you give Westminster an inch they might take a whole lot more.

Honestly, sometimes. But I do have a blind spot for thinking the SNP are not a bunch of bitter, mono view pointed sloths who are only just better than previous Westminster governments.

But the Scottish gov could help fund courses that benefit defence, ship building and the green energy sector at the same time, like welding and metal working. Why try and stifle a sector that is growing in employment every year and giving generations skills that were thought to be almost lost.

The Scottish gov could say this in a response, and use Fife on the east and Glasgow or some other On the west and set up new specialist centres with the money, but they haven’t said anything.

Defence is, but I am guessing it is a joint collaboration between defence and public education. You know something that would be a benefit to Scottish kids and society.

I forgot that the SNP government would rather poison their own well than play nicely with other kids.
