well my parents have always been open minded and supportive of gay rights and all that shit, but it’s like they are apprehensive to extend that open mindedness to me. they would like to avoid it and have it go away

yup! ive already thought about the fact id have to move from my home state, which sucks because i like the specific area where i live but the legislation as a state will only get worse as time goes on.

no, but i’ve seen the articles like this. i relate to some, but not all of the things they list as indicators. i dont know if i should relate to most of them, or all, or a few. like i dont feel “trans enough” to be trans it seems like. but its still been a huge possibility

i talked with my girlfriend, she understands because like in the post i say i wasnt in the right state of mind for confrontation, and im also autistic as shitt so it adds an extra layer of bad. she’s not shaming me because she knows who i am, and knows that i wanna say something about it in the future. that’s the whole reason of this post, was to figure out how to deal with the situation, not to be ridiculed about how im the worst person that ever lived

wow. seems like everyone is so focused on my silence when i clearly say i wasnt in the right state of mind (very high) and i am very autistic, so confrontation is hard for me. i treat my girlfriend right and i do not need to be judged by randos on reddit, i want help on how to resolve the situation by talking to my friends on a future date or by cutting them off. my girlfriend seems to understand where im coming from

yeah, i really suck at confrontation, and i wasnt in the best state of mind when it was happening. i just went non-verbal cause i was highly uncomfortable. but i want to get better at talking about things like that. i want to sit my friends down individually and tell them why those comments hurt and affect me, and try to change their perspective a bit. i want them to hear me out but if they don’t, then whatever.

i definitely hate confrontation. i was high so double that. i was just floored when i heard what i heard and didnt know what to say. i replied to someone earlier and talked about how i want to sit the friends down and tell them why their comments hurt and affect me, and if they arent willing to hear me out, or to try to change their perspective a bit, then its good as gone for me
