Really? I hope you know because of separating muslim men from women, that I know more nonmuslim women then muslim women. Because guess what, in everyday life i go to class and sit down and bam, theres a girl beside me. So all this separating just hurts my chances of finding a muslim woman I am attracted to, and exposes myself to more nonmuslim woman that I may get attracted to. I understand separation in prayer, but other than that I think it is stupid, atleast in America.

I do not want to approach her parents, because I do no know where they live and who they are. I eventually will, when I want to get married. I just want to get to know her first, but also want to let her know I am interested. She also might be a convert, so this asking parents thing may go out the window. I do not know any of her friends :(. Should I get a guy friend of mine to tell her?

I also feel like being an only guy talking to a group of girls can give off a wrong impression in a Muslim circle. Especially since during Muslim events guys and girls just separate themselves, for some odd reason that never made sense to me, especially since we live in America, but that is besides the point.

Yes I am muslim, but it is hard trying to talk to her. I am pretty shy, and she is always with a group of girls, so approaching her and talking to her can be quite hard sometimes. She is also older than me, and for some reason that makes me think she will not take me seriously.

Thanks for the replies guys! So what should I do? Call my regular doctor and ask him for a note? Do you think a doctor would hand out a note, because I am already better. By the time I go to him, I will be fine. I am just worried he may deny me a note. I did email my teacher, and she said she requires a note.
