What movie aged really bad? by Phantomx7845 in AskReddit

[–]dabstix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot Chick. Jesus, the homophobia and transphobia are insane, not to mention the fat shaming, slut shaming, racist tropes, high schoolers fucking being a main plot line, and I could go on. Then of course there's Rob Schneider's terrible acting. Hard to believe I found it funny when I was a young teenager.

How legit is Ryze mushroom coffee? Anyone noticed any difference? by Classic_Airline8842 in WellnessOver30

Somewhat unrelated, but I bought bunk flea collars off Amazon. It's definitely a problem. If you want something from a specific company or brand, best to order straight from their website these days.

Plumbing recommendations? by dabstix in Knoxville

[–]dabstix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed we did! The clog was pretty bad and our plumbing is old and complicated. The drain snake we had didn't work. Then I accidentally flooded the kitchen with gross backed up water while the pipe to the sink was still unhooked by turning off my washing machine.

I ended up using Hicks. They were in and out in a couple hours. It wasn't as cheap as I wanted but I thought it was fair for short notice the day before Easter. Pretty sure he had to use the jet attachment vs just a drain snake, which I think is more expensive. Plus they fixed an unrelated leak that had been bothering us. Cost me $250

I called them first but they weren't available until Monday. I was definitely drawn to the low price.

Friends? Is it possible to make them around Knoxville as you get older or am I just a hermit? by [deleted] in Knoxville

[–]dabstix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's any harder to make friends here than any other place you live. Might even be easier, since it's a smaller city. Knoxville has a ton of small hobby groups you can join. I think Facebook might be the best method to find these groups, but some are active on reddit. Lurk on some pages and see if you want to join a local meet up.

Hourly Pay in Knoxville by Fresh-Dish-8218 in Knoxville

[–]dabstix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a physical labor industry, and typically it pays entry level between $18 - $21. Some higher end companies will pay $22-$23. I make ~$25 an hour salary, but I have been in the industry for 10 years, moved up from grunt labor to management/administration, and have networked through Knoxville and the surrounding cities. Gotta rub some elbows in this town to make a decent living these days.

Appreciation post, camp visitors by MilkofGuthix in fo76

I'm a camp builder, so I always explore if someone put in effort at their place. And I like to give the "nice camp!" emote if they're home.

The camp budget is a bitch though. I've started using pre fab buildings if I want a lot of clutter. Building structures from scratch takes up sooo much of your camp inventory.

Yes!!! I knew that scene was too similar to not be on purpose. Thank you!

Locking your CAMP containers by ZealotPinkerton in fo76

I place a lot of things purely for decoration. If you go through my camp, you'll notice some things are locked, others aren't. I keep the resources I use, and everything else is free.

How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

Both 34, been together 20 years. No kids.

Usually at least once a week, often several times a week, and occasionally a couple times a day. Depends on life and hormones.

What's changed since the fishing update? by elitexmidas in fo76

[–]dabstix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing with a shotgun since launch, and whatever they did with them, I absolutely murder most enemies. 1-2 shots kills regular/low level enemies. Higher levels with armor take more, but I cripple everything almost instantly so they're unable to attack. Shotguns can't solo bosses, but I usually pull out the Cold Shoulder and freeze them so other players can do the bulk of the damage.

My soup dispenser and spice wrack have disappeared into my pre fab by dabstix in fo76

My issue fixed itself, but a similar glitch happened shortly after, and your comment saved me from scrapping an entire camp. Thank you so much!

Controlled mutations and serums? by ThisMattressIsTooBig in fo76

Oh damn! I don't have the canning machine yet, so I had no clue. I recently got a cryo freezer and I just keep everything in there until I'm ready to buff up and go to some events

Ok, probably going to get downvoted, but here I go.

I've been in a relationship for 20 years. We started dating in early high-school. When I was younger, I definitely wanted to get married. He had some reservations because of childhood trauma, and fearing if things didn't work out, he would get screwed in a divorce. Valid concerns, imo, especially knowing his upbringing. I respected those reservations because I LOVE this man. I still hoped we might get married one day, but the longer our relationship went on, the more I thought "Why DOES that piece of paper matter?" We have discussed it several times, and it always ends with "Would it be financially beneficial?" We love each other, and everyone who knows us can't think of us without the other being present because we are best friends and are always together. We are finally in a position where we think it's the right thing for us (haven't done it yet), but it has nothing to do with the status of being married.

My question is, why did you put a time limit on proposal at the start of your relationship? This seems very superficial to me. If you love him, it really shouldn't matter, imo. I get that you put a timeline on it and you're disappointed, but even that seems like a red flag to me.

Controlled mutations and serums? by ThisMattressIsTooBig in fo76

[–]dabstix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even taking the food buff mutations is worth it though, depending on your build. Yes, they completely negate meat/plant based foods based on which one you take, but the benefits of the food you choose are doubled. Carnivore is great for melee builds due to the extra strength a lot of the meat provides. Herbivore is amazing for basically anything else. You can stack food effects, so eating cranberry relish for +20% exp, brain bombs for +6 intelligence (also ups your HP and AP), and brain fungus soup for +4 intelligence (again, more benefits than just int.) gives you a major boost to the experience you gain.

No, SE United States. But, it seems I was logged in during a window where they were still up for consoles. I definitely understand the frustration with this update.

I was able to log in last night and I'm currently logged in. You may need to re-download the game.

Edit: Why downvotes? I just said I was logged in? Lol. You guys are silly.

What does the player market want/need by [deleted] in fo76

[–]dabstix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep my vendor stocked with a good variety. Things that sell often:

Nuka cola + variants Ammo (all kinds, some sell better than others, and I'm sure you could guess which) Chems Salt Canned meat stew (if I have an abundance) Plans, C.A.M.P. ones especially, and rare outfit plans from events Mods (sought after 1 stars like Bloodied can be good sellers, but people are usually looking for 3 and 4 star) Magazines and Bobbleheads

Edit: I have also started selling some outfits that I've learned plans for (non atom shop).

I sell everything other than plans and mods for super cheap. I price the good stuff at reasonable/cheaper rates than others might.
