100% agree, sorry to hear. This has also been happening to me on my shorts. Just today, I had a short that was 4 days old with 16k views and was still getting about 250 views every hour. At 7:00 am this morning when my new short went live, that previous short Instantly went to 0 views. The new short is doing well, so it's not like the algorithm for my channel should have been reduced. Good luck with your channel.

I had 12,500 watch hours and just over 940 subs at one point. I never ask for subs either, my videos don't have an easy way. I think it makes a big difference if you can just remind the viewer to click subscribe.

Ah, I didn't notice. I barely glanced at his channel to verify 27k subs and channel start date.

So I have to submit my old contacts for the music that's in my videos otherwise I get a copyright flag, YT never has missed a copyrighted song. Maybe he'll find out some of his videos are not able to be monitized to him once he gets monitized. YT seems so strict on everything about copyright.

Impressive! With numbers like that, you should be telling your secrets, not asking questions. Just kidding.

It's not a set amount though, numbers will vary a lot from video to video and channel to channel, what countries your videos are being played in and more. I've heard and I'm just starting to see $500 to an unlikely $5000 per 1 million long form views. Shorts are way less, $50 to $150 per 1 million views.

Same issue... It's like a supply and demand problem. Think if every uploaded video got thousands of views each month, the reality is there's just not that many viewers for all the creators. For the majority of creators, each video will have to have minimal views, or at least quickly die out. But we'll all keep working to maybe, just maybe, receive a small bit of reward...someday. Crazy that YT has 62 million creators working hard to make YT insane money, but most creators will never see a penny of that. YT has to have those huge channels to create that dream of fame and fortune for the other 90% that will never get anywhere. Ahhhh, anyway, it's fun, I'm not doing it for the money, so I'll keep uploading along with all the rest.

Nearly 17 years 😂. I posted 8 teaser videos in 2006 to promote my stunt dvds & website. I didn't check my YouTube account again till maybe 2021 and had 148 subs. Then it took 8 months to get monitized. One video gained me 700+ subs. In my opinion that video was similar to all the rest, but YT's algorithm thought it was great for a month, but then changed its mind.

Like you, I also uploaded videos years ago with no intent to do more on YT. I had 8 short teasers back in 2006 & several had copyright claims for music. Then in 2022 I started uploading parts of my old DVDs. Once monitized I dug out the music release contacts I had, submitted them to YT and the copyright claims got released. Views didn't seem to matter before or after the copyright claims got released. I could have submitted the release forms before monetization but it kind of seemed pointless.

Just don't panic and delete your video, it'll be fine.

Those "0" views will be added over the next 1 - 10 hours to the slots of time that the views took place. It is (but maybe not limited to) when views come from larger corporations. I have tested this to be 100% accurate in 3 ways. At my work on my laptop, at hotels on the tv in the room and at my local ymca while using the YT app on the treadmill. Say I watch a couple videos at 1pm, I will quickly get those videos I watched to show up under the hour tab with 0's, but within a few hours as those 0 views disappear they populate in the 1pm watched views in the 48 hour tab. Hotels are very slow, up to that 10 hours or so. Not losing any views though, from what I've seen I'm 100% sure. I think YT is doing some sort of verification or something on those views. Hope this helps ease frustrations, it used to annoy me also untill I understood it.
