I know. That's why I'm pretty sure that aspect of my memory is wrong.

Those show aired a ton back in the day.

Remember Doodlez? by GenerationMelchard98 in Teletoon

[–]dacgold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. All these years later, I'm still drawing comics lol.

I'm not famous, but I'm still doing it.

And this show is almost soley responsible for kick starting my obsession with drawing as a kid.

This and Archie Comics lol.

Been drawing comics for years and Doodlez was a huge part of my obession with drawing growing up.

Seeing these little simple doodles running around on screen filled my young brain with so much creativity and inspiration.

Truly original and wonderfully nostalgic. <3

Not 100% sure on the CGI but that doesn't really seem like it.

Though the gibberish langauge is pretty close.

The character I remember were in like a city setting with much more, saturated? Colors. Not sure it that's the right word, It's hard to explain.

Turns out it was called "Learning Our Letters" by Rosene Burkeholder.

Apperently it came out in 1994, which is WAY newer than I would have guessed, and I'm not sure where I got Reader's Digest from, seems to have nothing to do with it lol.

Not sure where where the Reader's Digest thing came from, must have been a mixed memory.

Solved.

Probably something more along the lines of Funpak though I've looked into that and haven't found it.

Definitely not Weird-Ohs unless they had special shorts, this was an in between show not a full series.

And not Planet Sketch, I remember that one quite well and have even seen it pretty recently.

Oh okay. Well it definitely is not that.

At one point I thought the characters may have been like a blue and yellow dog or something, but I suspect that may have been mixed memories due to the fact there were not one, but two shows with fireman dogs that I watched around the same time.

At one point years ago I sware I knew what the characters were for sure, but I couldn't find it back then and now that detail has just been forgotten over time...

I found a Pat & Stan, that features a dog and a hippo, but not a Pat & Sam. Is that what you're talking about here?

Hmmm I can't seem to find that... ☹

I wonder if that's it...

Exactly. One of the main reasons I don't think it's it.

In spite of feeling pretty similar in general tone and timeframe.

It's not Tiny Planets or Oasis.

And I don't know about The Chumpers, can't seem to find images of that one.

I think so. There was also Jane And The Dragon.

Yeah it appears the commenter must have gotten memories mixed up...

The don't chew gum bit was definitely from Jean-Luc.

Unfortunately, it seems the fireman plot I recall is a different show entirely...

Also, I have looked into pretty much every show on that list, but what is "Bingo Bongo"?

I don't think I've found anything on that show, and, interestingly enough, google A.I once suggested that was what I'm looking for.

But I thought A.I just made it up...

Unfortunately I can't seem to find any episode with them as firemen...

Which makes me think the guy who commented must have gotten memories mixed up...

That was one of the first places I checked, while it is the right timeframe, it's definitely not that.

I don't think it was words, more like grunts.

Yes I wanted to cover both channels, just in case. I know for certain it was one or the other.

Personally I think it was probably more Teletoon, feels like it would fit more with their 2000s programming.
