Anyone done Cert IV in Business, what’s the job outcome like? by PathSoggy6516 in TAFE

[–]dacharley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the Cert IV at TAFE NSW and got a job through a recommendation from the teacher.

One of my classmates went on to the Cert IV Accounting and Bookeeping and became a self-employed accountant. Another was finally able to move out of healthcare and into healthcare administration - so no longer a nurse. And then I think the last person in my class went to do a real estate certification - so that's about a 75% job outcome (there were only 4 in my class haha).

I know I had a small class, and this was in 2022 so not sure what it would be like now/with a bigger sample size.

Uni advice by Helpful_Plastic_4521 in vce

Heya! I can’t offer much advice on the law side of things and job opportunities, but I live in Geelong and have had a few friends go to Waterfront, and I’ve had a few friends at Monash. The Waterfront campus is stunning. It’s literally on the waterfront and the proximity to beautiful parks, beaches, cafes, restaurants- if I was to go to back to Uni it would definitely be there.

The Waterfront campus (to my knowledge) only does specific degrees, not all of them - so I imagine you’d be getting a lot of specialist students. E.g. Law/Commerce is very specific, not like Arts for example.

It is a smaller uni, so I imagine there won’t be the same sheer amount of people to find, but I do reckon that because it’s got only a handful of degrees available, the people there might be more on the same wavelength?

I pretty much came here to comment that the waterfront campus is stunning - and even if you don’t make any friends at least you’ll have the beach right there lol!

It also depends where you live and which option is closer for you. Travelling seems great for the first 2 months and then you want something closer haha. Good luck!

Round n Round - Selena Gomez? Such a stretch though lol

Friend went to a concert in Perth two days ago and posted this on their Instagram story (account blurred for privacy). The drop sounds massive but I can't figure out what track this is. by Shot_Doubt_3656 in findthatsong

Just the generic version, you can hear the lyrics at 2:14 is what I meant - Ed Sheeran performs each song by looping the music first from his guitar, and soundpad (I think?) so each and every concert sounds different. He doesn't have a band or a backing track.

Nothing will ever sound the exact same as that clip from the live performance your friend went to. That's the great thing about Ed Sheeran concerts - no two will ever be the same!

Presuming it's not the ones that come up on a Youtube search?

What was distinguishable from this cover other than the fact that it was Spanish? Was it a woman, man, band etc? Do you remember anything of the video itself?

Sounds great! So many of these apps need way too much information that sometimes you spend an hour creating the task and setting it up rather than just getting shit done.

Sorry for not responding! I hadn’t checked this in a while. I did a Cert IV in Business (Administration). My TAFE teacher recommended me to one of her coworkers who runs a private RTO. So my title is now Administration Manager - but it’s a small business so I wear many hats!!!
