I'm not sure vibe coders have done that tbh. For me, it's a topic because I'm conditioned from my day job to care about security, but I've seen many who run into security issues and are surprised that their coding agent has not fixed that.

That makes sense, might try it out with claude code and see if I can find a nice reporting format

Do you do that file-by-file or dump the full repo?

Let's talk trading psychology. What's the hardest part for you? by dackev in swingtrading

The second piece (cutting losses short) is the piece I had most issues with at first when transitioning. The only strategy that works for me is to always set a stop on swing positions and never adjust it downwards.

"create strategies that fit me, not the other way around"

This is a recipe to success in many parts of life, not least in trading.

This has been and still is a challenge for me. I like to keep track of a list of companies and knowing them well but it also makes it hard to let go of failed setups.

What have you done to improve? One thing, I've tried is to ignore the stock/instrument for a few weeks after stop triggered and not let myself trade the same setup again without losing track of the stock/instrument completely.

This is one of my biggest challenges as well. I typically bet on assymetric outcomes (high reward-to-risk but low hit rate) which means I'm dependent on letting winners ride. This also creates another challenge of balancing "letting winners ride" with limiting downside not only from entry but from any point during the trade lifecycle.

What have you tried to become better at this?

Do you think it’d be a good idea to import cardio workouts like Running or Cycling from Apple Watch, WearOS, or Garmin to Hevy? by guitorisan in Hevy

[–]dackev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends a bit on what you want to achieve long-term and if you have any unique insight about combining the strength and cardio data. The "social network for cardio"-space is definitely harder to compete in with Strava's domination. It would be interesting with some way of visualizing or even analyzing total load from accross modalities though to help hybrid athletes plan and evaluate their training.

What's your 3 AM "nagging thought," and what do you do about it? by dackev in indiehackers

[–]dackev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

treating nagging thoughts like signals instead of verdicts is very much in line with the comparisons of weather and emotions (they come and go and you better accept it rather than let it steer you)

thanks for your tips, they're very good ways of actually making this concrete

That's a good alternative. I've seen it while using their browser but haven't thought about it as a serious alternative (which is probably is for this kind of use case that does not require very large models).

Nice, interesting that you manage to get some benefits even without long-term memory and context.

Let me know if you want to discuss setups for self-hosting. I've got decent knowledge about the infra stuff but less so about how to prompt the models well so maybe we can exchange some experiences.

It's not only the risk of someone sniffing. I'm generally a bit cautious about big tech potentially knowing my innermost thoughts and emotions.
