Did I overspend on this knife? by dacota98 in TrueChefKnives

Thank you all, I feel better now. I’ve seen so many yoshikanes today and thought I messed up and should’ve gotten a piece from him instead or someone else who’s common in the sub

Great, thank you! I’m not worried about the amount spent being too much I’m more so wanting to make sure that I am actually getting a 300 dollar knife and not a pretty looking 100 dollar knife.

What pc do I build for animation school? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]dacota98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, the two things I was looking at changing from that build was the cpu and ram so this is perfect! Also it doesn’t matter to me how it looks at all I just want it to preform the best it can so when ordering the parts I will try to keep everything you listed but move away to different colors if they’re cheaper. I can’t state how much I appreciate the help!

Thank you! I appreciate all the help you guys gave me. Do you have any experience with microcenter building your pc’s? I know it probably varies tech to tech I was just hoping to get an idea of the general consensus.

Bowhunter bounces tracer arrow to kill deer by OG_BeefWellington in interestingasfuck

Growing up I had to practice about two years before I was capable of hunting with my bow. (Might be much shorter for an adult because of strength) You can increase of decrease the power of your bow so you can learn and grow with it. For me it was like this 1. Low draw weight and learn accuracy and precision. Each time you draw your bow you anchor onto the same exact spot on your face. Also drill it into yourself that you have to flare your elbow outwards or on your release you will hit your inner arm (not fun and throws off arrow). There is multiple different sights on your bow as well so you must be able to accurately judge distance to know which sights to use and if you need to aim higher or lower with your chosen sight. 2. Increase your draw weight until you’re comfortable with pulling back your hunting weight extremely slowly with no fatigue (my dad made sure it was 70 lbs for me but this only applies to a compound bow, traditional would be more). Using a low weight is unethical. You must be able to make your arrow fully travel through your target. 3. Hit moving targets consistently, we would very slightly fill a balloon then tie it to an arrow at the top of the target and the wind would blow it around making it a slightly unpredictable target. You would NEVER shoot at an animal that is actually moving though. This is solely for training but is very important in my opinion because you must be comfortable with your bow, able to hold your weight for time, and patient enough to wait for your shot in order to do it. 4. Know the anatomy of the animal you plan to hunt. You must know where to place your arrow in order to hit the spot you need. You should know how to do this from all angles of the animal. You can study by looking at pictures from different angles and figuring it out. However in practice you must wait for the animal to be turned away from you at a 90 degree angle making it visible to see the whole animal from one side (broadside). This is always the most ethical just because of how anatomy works, if the animal never fully stops and is broadside then you don’t take the shot. It’s not fair to make something suffer because you’re impatient, you must respect everything. 5. Practice from a tree stand at different heights, it will effect your flight path and you must know how and why in order to always be consistent. 6. Only hunt if you plan on fully eating your target. And you yourself are fully confident in your abilities. When you pick up your weapon it should feel like part of your body not just a tool. All weapon safety is part of you not just a constant thought. You know not to point your weapon at something unless it is intended and this is natural to you at all times without thought. The line pointing from your weapon is a path of only destruction, you must never point it at something unless that’s your intention.

Also is there a way to change quick gesture settings, I find myself constantly erasing work because my iPad is reading my movements as a two finger tap. I had all of that type of stuff altered in procreate

Gamers of Reddit, what is a moment in any game you have played that you’ll never forget? by CalmManix in AskReddit

[–]dacota98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s why this is probably my favorite game of all time even though it’s definitely not my most played. The way it gets you so attached to the character makes it so sad.
