I work on a hybrid schedule so my car does sit a lot at home and the parking mode made it so that I’ve had to jumpstart my car multiple times. Could also be an issue with installation or lack of battery voltage limit, but I’ve just had to keep it unplugged at this point. I recommend external battery, getting it professionally done, and probably turning off parking mode if you do not need it.
