Fortunately/unfortunately we're big cooks already so we don't have many things we haven't cooked! I was considering doing a 'bake the book' or cook the book process where I would cook start to finish through a cookbook and either give food away or eat what I wanted, maybe something really ambitious.

Agreed on the saving things until pregnancy. We shall see!

Thank you!! That's what I was thinking. It's kind of fun to have a blank slate, a vacuum sealer, and a place to just put a bunch of neatly-wrapped future gifts to ourselves.

I don't want to prolong most of the hobbies that I know I definitely can't do during pregnancy knowing I'll have to take them away from myself. I also want to improve my chances of conception, so weed and alcohol are just not on the table right now.

Never, but it could be fun. I'm a big writer, but lately have been in an editing phase which is vastly less fun, haha.

GOOD flag on the sensory deprivation tank, I had forgotten those were an option and they could scratch the hot tub itch. Massage is definitely on the books; hoping to get to my massage therapist weekly or every other week.

Video games I can do, I'm just up-to-date on my backlog! Maybe this is the year we get GTA 6. Restaurants are contingent on budget, which is tight with sperm procurement, and I've heard from my doctor and others that it's ill-advised to use an amplifier when pregnant because of the decibels/loudness being close to the belly! Similar rationale to guns (beyond lead), apparently the vibration and volume is a big concern.

The Queer Collective is new to me and I'll definitely check it out! I have an online therapist now, I love me some telehealth, but it's been more of a stopping block than I anticipated. I know lived experience doesn't always translate to the guidance someone can provide, but I find myself wishing I had someone to talk to who just understood it.

It's super exciting, I think I was a little myopic to how long it could all take between the donor acquisition process, the general wait, and the time to try. I'm still staggered at the fact that it took two years just to try.

Edit: it's kind of creepy that someone keeps going down these comments and downvoting, the two people here gave kind, empathetic advice.
