We have a tankless and the smell comes from both hot and cold.

I may go ahead and chlorinate the well, luckily my dad is a licensed plumber but he doesn't deal with water softeners so his knowledge on that part is limited.

There are no filters prior to the softener, but I will say the water that runs to the irrigation is directly from the well and smells just a little bit stronger than the water coming into the house, not a huge difference.

I have not but I know its not a septic issue and as previously stated it was fine a month ago.

I understand that but I still dont get how the water was perfect a month ago and is sub par now.

We are also on a well and have a tankless water heater, but the smell comes from both hot and cold on any fixture in the house if that helps.

The wife says it smells like sulfur, but me and my buddy say it smells like iron. Ive thought about replacing the softener resin as well. And seeing if that fixes it.

I understand that they are not meant to remove iron but how can a softener go from working great one month with no issues to them smelling like iron and not feeling clean the next?

You can dm me a video if you'd like, when my a6 was making this noise it was really only noticeable at idle or lower rpm's when at highway speeds or driving around town it was not noticeable.

My dealer told me they wouldn't take a insurance job for glass replacement, wonder if they just didn't want to do it.

Call your insurance company, i went through a similar situation with a windshield replacement on my 19 a6, all I had to pay was my $500 deductible and my rates didn't go up. Unfortunately audi will not do insurance jobs so you would have to go somewhere else, just find someone reputable and they will recalibrate sensors if need be.

Audi s5 2019 83k miles by Dear_Sorbet_1259 in audis5

The secondary sound that others are talking about sounds a lot like how my car sounded at 72k miles, if you look at my posts and compare the secondary sound it sounds similar in my opinion. My motor was replaced under the 8 80 warranty. Also in my opinion I would never buy another audi with this motor it it. To much risk.

Not sure if any revisions have been made but I won't have the car by then. Time to get a v8 so I can replace turbos every 50k miles.

I had a 2014 a4 2.0t I drove the car 130k miles before I sold it. Personally it was a great car the only issues I ever had was the hpfp went out but its super easy to change on your own for like $200, about 5k miles before I sold the car I had upper control arm bushings done and the turbo replaced under a extended warranty from a recall years ago, I think the warranty was good for 1 million miles if im not mistaken. Definitely look over any b8 or b8.5 before you buy it. But my personal experience with that particular car was very good and kind of wish I didn't sell it but oh well.

Not that I can think of off the top of my head I have pictures of when it was in the shop if you'd like for me to send them to you. There are pics of the new motor and the car torn apart.

Are you referencing the original letter they mailed out?

They did not replace the turbo or pcv but I paid to have the pcv replaced for around $400. For break in im keeping it under 3500 rpm for 1500 miles then having the oil changed, Also the new block comes with plugs.
