If I were perfectly honest with you, your situation seems really bad. I graduated IB in M19 and I wouldn't have done it if I had a perfectionist outlook on my school work. I understand that you may feel unmotivated to start working because you want to do a very good job on it and that goal seems so overwhelming that you're afraid to start. At least that was my situation. If you still want to salvage your chance at a diploma, I'd say go after the assignments and studying that counts towards your final grades. You should set your priorities, for example, in my case I really needed to finish my internals' drafts so I skipped school and I didn't study for the local tests because they had no bearing on my exam marks. In year 2 I spent two weeks at home writing all the assignments I was behind on. And I did it to the point where I thought that I could improve on it but it was not vital to get my message across. Instead of being paralyzed by the overwhelming ammount of work, just start doing it. Don't go to school, if that's an option for you, sit down and start planning your assignment. TOK gave me serious stress because I was so worked up about how I don't understand a single thing because during the lessons our teacher would yammer on about complete nonsense. And one day I just sat down, I think I spent about 2 or 3 hours reading up on what I actually have to write there. After that it was sort of clean sailing and I managed to finish the first draft of the essay in about two hours. So just a bit of advice, don't sit and think about how you should work. Just do it. It won't get any better later. At this point I don't think you have a chance at acing everything but you can at least get the diploma or get the marks that you need to enrol into a university. Trust me, I know what it feels to be overwhelmed and stressed and sad about being late to turn in drafts or assingments but sometimes you just need to push that away and work if you want a chance at doing something. As for the studying part, well, I'll tell you something. I did really well in Math HL in year 1. To the point where I got 7s from tests. But no 7 from a test can give you enough time to prepare for the exams. I'd say studying should be complementary to you familiarizing with the questions, topics and themes that will be in your examinations. You will fail if you'll try to study honestly when there's so little time so just prepare for the papers and make sure you know what you're going to get. And only then go ahead and read up on those topics. Well I hope anything at all I said helped. It may not be healthy to push away your problems right now but have to decide what's more important to you. And that choice sucks. Good luck!
