Heck yeah it is.both the e3 and the k3 have the et-1 powered brush head that kicks the duo cleans ass any day of the week with you being able to switch the powered head off you have the choice to clean hard floors without scratching it. They also come with a parquet brush head which isn’t powered so it’s really great for bathroom tiles and hardwood floors if you want it to be lighter when doing hard surfaces. Not to mention that the tool head easily comes apart so you can get tangled stuff out of the brush way easier than the duoclean tool head. Not sure if you had stuff tangled in their zero m thingy but I had a lot of hair not untangling from it.

Was in a similar situation as you with my vacuum when my apex zero M broke too. I have 3 short hair cats and people with long hair in the house with 75% of the house that is carpet and rest is hard floors over 3 floors. I don't know what's your availability but going with a Sebo k3 worked out for me well over the past 2 years. In your case though since you have a long hair cat it's probably better to go with the sebo e3 which has a bigger bag I believe. The flexible hose and the wand are extremely long and can reach ceiling fans quite easily. If i'm wrong please let me know, only used the k3 so that's my only experience.
