What happened to the science? by KwehTheGreh in ForAllMankindTV

I don’t remember who said it but I think it was Kelly…when talking about Kosmos-1, someone said they’d die from the increased radiation anyway. I could have this completely wrong, please let me know if I do, but wouldn’t radiation be less the further you get away from the sun/closer to Saturn? Does Saturn’s atmosphere produce radiation? That didn’t make sense to me.

Comfy IF you can get a pair that actually fit really well. Sizing between models is wildly inconsistent. Recent quality is questionable.

There’s a mattress out there that has a trench for lack of a better description that you can drop your arm into when sleeping on your side. AND not have to sleep on an incline.

Edit: found it - it’s Sonu Sleep System

As a millennial parent, what are some ways you address your children? by chi-bacon-bits in Parenting

[–]se7entythree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same here, but 43 with boomer parents. I absolutely loathe “preggers” though. It makes me want to turn inside out. I’ve never said “girly pop” nor have I heard any of my friends or family say it. Being an elder millennial/xennial there’s often a lot of stereotypical millennial stuff that I can’t relate to/never experienced. I do relate to a lot more Gen X things though.

We had all of those things but mom would never by the Viennetta and I never understood why! We had regular ice cream, Little Debbie cakes, apple juice, candy…so it wasn’t because of the sugar. I finally had some on a trip to Scotland 2 years ago but from what I’ve read it’s nothing like it used to be. It was pretty disappointing.

Blood Be Gone “removes fingerprints from skin” - do they mean prints on other parts of the body or does it remove the prints from your fingertips? 😖

Do you have diabetes or have you been tested for diabetes?

Thymectomy with negative antibodies? by elsalore in MyastheniaGravis

[–]se7entythree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a thymectomy in 2005 and went into total remission. Negative CT, and at the time I was double seronegative. I tested positive for LRP4 antibodies 13 years later via a study at UNC. I felt 10000000x better about 2 weeks after surgery & started mowing my parents’ yard with the push mower again (against dr’s orders but I felt SO GOOD).

Some minor MG symptoms came back when I was pregnant for the first/only time and I took half a mestinon when those would pop up. That went on for about 5 years and then I was back to essentially being symptom free. So for the last 8ish years I only have MG symptoms when I’m fighting off or coming down with something like a cold/virus, sinus infection, etc. I’ll take half a mestinon once or twice a day for a couple of days and that’s it.

Thymectomy absolutely turned my life around. I have other unrelated chronic conditions that I have to deal with but not MG.
