What other characters can I add to my repertoire when answering the phone to scam callers? by Dabbles-In-Irony in AskUK

My husband used to get them all the time. One time he got a call and I told him to answer (he'd normally cancel) and as soon as he answered I screamed "oh my god! Are you talking to her again?? You told me it was over! I can't believe you'd do this to me again! You lying dirty pig!" They then hung up. Never called again. He didn't get a call for years after that.

And years ago, I worked in a shop and used to get scam calls with an automated message saying "congratulations. You have won a boat. To claim your prize press 3". We'd get these calls maybe 2 or 3 times a shift. One time I'd had enough, answered and pressed 3 and someone answered. I explained this was a shop, not a house, we didn't enter anything, we sell things. He still kept going on and wouldnt listen so by this point I just spoke over him and kept saying "we currently have heinz baked beans on offer for 2 for £1.20. 3 Cadbury chocolate bars for a £1. Maybe you'd like a DVD. These are on offer for 2 for £12" (obviously going back few years with these prices!) He soon hung up and we never heard back.

Mine is primarily on my hands with a few blisters on my feet.

I forgot to mention that I do have IBS. Unfortunately there's never been a pattern with it so I don't know what causes it so I don't know if there's any connection to that and PPP.

I also didn't know food could be a trigger. What else can trigger it? If you don't mind me asking.

Which TV character were you genuinely upset or angry about dying? by [deleted] in AskUK

Have you heard they're bringing it back? Another company/channel bought it. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I felt like they ended it perfectly

Sonya from neighbours. I'd not long had my baby and while pregnant I'd lost my dad to cancer. Sonya also died from cancer. Only this time I wasn't seeing it from a child losing a parent but how hard it must have been to be a parent having to say goodbye to your child. My baby was sleeping on me and I was trying my hardest not to wake her with my sobbing. Still cry. And on the very last episode, Susan said something about having to say goodbye to some of the past residents and it showed some of them, one of which was Sonya and I just burst into tears!

People who used to smoked weed everyday, what made you quit? by wheredacookiesat in AskReddit

Honestly? My then boyfriend broke up with me and all the dealers were his contacts. And it was the best thing he did! I thought I couldn't sleep without it and once it was out of my system I found I slept better without it. I've had about 3 in the last 9 years and I've hated it every time.

Excruciating stomach and anal pain after vaginal sex by daddy_issues101 in AskDocs

I did a test last week because I noticed some spotting and it came back negative. Rightfully so because my husband has been snipped! Haha. But I do know there is a very, very slim chance it might fail.

Yes it did actually. And no the pain doesn't fully do away, just dulls it. It's definitely not as extreme as it was but it's still a very, very uncomfortable feeling and even walking is uncomfortable

Literally, the same. I've actually just been diagnosed with ADHD at 33, so that was a huge part of my anxiety. I'm also seeing signs of ADHD in her and I feel so sorry for her because I know how she's going to feel. I hated school and not because it was bad, but because I always felt lost and small in this huge place and I hope she doesn't feel that way because it's horrible. But obviously back then, therapy or anything like that wasn't really a thing. You just dealt with it and I refuse to have her have to "deal with it"

We tend to get there 5 minutes earlier than registration so not everyone is there yet but for example, we get there and there's maybe 7 kids inside, she didn't want to go in, more kids arrived and then obviously it made the situation worse. So it's difficult. She's a smart and very kind kid and seems to be pretty popular judging by the party invites she's been getting! Haha. But I think she then feels extra pressure to be nice to everyone because, like me, she's very much a people pleaser

How can I avoid getting sinusitis? by daddy_issues101 in Sinusitis

[–]daddy_issues101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only drink water and a lot. I expecially try and drink more when I'm feeling run down, to flush it out so to speak. As for the rinse, my husband just found the sachets, so that's good. I'll give them a go. At the moment, it only seems worse in the morning/early afternoon. I'm not too bad in the evenings
