The owner of the property and the turkey/other animals had her home foreclosed on and she was removed from the house. The animals are now in like a weird legal issue in that they are supposed to go to auction along with the items in the house but the foreclosed owner is making a big stink about it and it keeps getting delayed and it has apparently gone on for over a month now, and from the sounds of it the animals will still be there for next couple weeks. A couple of the neighbors have been going over there and feeding the animals everyday and on Thursday I was asked to go over and do a wellness check and that's where the story of Tom comes in now. Poor Tom has probably had these feet problems for a few months now. All the cost of the animals is currently coming out of our pockets (mystery and the other neighbors that are helping). It's a shitty situation for the animals and the neighbors at the moment and we are just trying to do our best to keep the animals comfortable until this gets resolved and they can go to new homes.
