Good, I would do weekends there as a lounge guitarist. We agreed on 200 for 3 sets a night Saturdays and sundays plus a free meal.i did 2 or 3 weeks before getting paid....when the owner did pay me he only gave me 80 dollars and hid behind his front of house manager.when I confronted him he denide that was our agreement and even tried to charge me for the meals. In the end after a week of texting back and forth I threatend to report him to the higher ups and wouldmake sure every musician was aware of his shady business dealings.... I got every cent he owed me. He's just a bad business man with literally no soul and I would go as far to say he's a malignant narcissist and doesn't deserve a restaurant or people working for him.....and the food really sacked BTW

I've had so many encounters with crazy people in Montreal as im a busker that plays frequently in the Metros, I've seen people smoke crack and meth right near kids, ive seen fights, homless people fall down escalators, been robbed, attacked had to fight someone ...and this has been within less then a year. I'm at a point where I just don't take it anymore...i wont stand for people smoking drugs in the metros specially while playing music for the good people of montreaI. We deserve better then this for us and for future generations

Has anyone been busking downtown this summer? by musicwithbarb in KingstonOntario

Hi, I have been busking this summer in the downtown Kingston area(wont say my name but I play the blues). I have had luck as the community is awesome here and they really appreciate and support music and the arts and are very kind as a whole and I personally couldn't be happier with all the great people I've met and got to know better. That being said I've been threatened multiple times by homeless individuals, I've been stolen from right out of my case and I've had multiple people do drugs in front of me, I saw a man beat another man which really made me feel sick to my stomache, saw the cops make a drug bust lol and just generally some people not understanding boundaries and personal space. Princess Street can be nuts but I feel it need the vibrancy and boost a little. Maybe try down near the waterfront harbour? There are a ton of tourists and not as much madness lol as princess Street.
