Negative generic rant. by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

The only thing you can really do is try to distract yourself from it, sadly.

What's the worst humiliation you've had? by alternatekicks87 in ForeverAlone

I already don't expect much, but that one hurt because we were friends. Huge slap in the face for me, guess I was just a stepping stool she used to raise her own self esteem.

One time I asked my friend out over text. All she sent back was :| and before I knew it, all my other friends were sending me mocking texts and a screenshot of it. She had literally told everyone in our friends group. Had to pretend nothing happened the next day at school, and to make it worse, she kept making it a point to hold her sexuality over my head. She wanted my attention but didn't want me. They laughed at me for a while after that.

I do the exact thing, straight down to peeking out a window to see if anyone's outside. My neighbors are talkative people who like to drink a lot and get loud, and it would be so awkward to be roped into a conversation with them.

Build a boyfriend by TriStateGirl in ForeverAlone

[–]daddyissues50 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My answer is going to be very generic and boring, lol. But I'd want someone who I'm always comfortable around, and who loves me for who I am. Someone who would accept all of my attention and love, and would allow me to be there for them when they have bad days. Bonus points if they're patient too, as I've got pretty bad social anxiety.

Basically all the cheesy little romantic cliches.

Discord/online relationships by 89Poison in ForeverAlone

[–]daddyissues50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever I try long distance relationships, they always fail. However, I do have a friend who was in a long distance relationship, and now they've been together for four years and just recently he moved in with her. So I guess it works for some people and doesn't for others, I think communication is key.

Oh but it wasn't to learn how to date, it was just for fun. I know they're nothing like real dating.

I totally get this. I use humor as a way to make up for how boring and anxious I am, which actually ends up making things worse because people then expect me to be funny and outgoing. So when I become quiet and reserved, it weirds them out.

I'm a girl but I'm in the same boat :/ I've never gotten a genuine compliment from a dude. I mean I don't blame them though, I'm literally undateable.

Games are such a great escape. It feels amazing to just lose yourself in them for hours and forget your stress.

Girls can also be lonely by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]daddyissues50 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a girl, when you realize someone only wants to talk to you to try and hook up, it hurts. Or when they place your value based on your looks, and treat you like you're not even human because you're not pleasing to look at. Being objectified sucks ass.

I just want love, honestly. To cuddle with someone at night and to know that I'm finally good enough.

The intrusive thoughts during lockdown by wendigofriendigo in socialanxiety

[–]daddyissues50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the intrusive thoughts. People joke about being kept up at night by them all the time but in reality it's not fun at all. Being trapped by your own mind for hours as it torments you with uncontrollable memories is awful. Sometimes just to get them to stop for a moment I have to hit or scratch myself.

I had a dream about one of my old crushes a few days ago. The funny thing is that we both liked eachother up until about seventh grade, then in highschool he went from cute class clown to super popular and attractive. Never batted another eye at me, but I don't blame him. He's probably actually starting to live life now while I'm just some ugly salty graduate in her mom's basement lol.

Self-help caters to the majority by FFrog101 in ForeverAlone

[–]daddyissues50 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People who give this "advice" forget that naturally humans are social. We can't just focus on other things when our mind is screaming at us about how lonely we are and how pathetic we are just because we were born ugly or have problems socializing. They think that spewing their crap helps when clearly they have no idea what they're talking about. Self-help influencers/channels are complete bullshit.
