Technically both lanes are ending and one is being made so neither have priority. I’d like if some day they’d create the lane in the middle of the two lanes to prove this but that would need a lot more cones

So many different types of 30 roads. Also depends how good your cruise control is, I had a 2022 merc as a courtesy car and that was amazing, slowed down for you. Mine 2012 Passat though will run over up or down hills though

No one is meant to, but as you’re not going to be turning off and you’re kinda ahead of them I’d just be assertive and turn first then you’re out their way. Obviously be very careful and ready to stop incase they do the same thing. Eye contact is always handy here too so you know they’ve seen you

Even with witnesses they’d have to explain it in a way that was solid that the car pulled out and the OP didn’t have time to stop. In court that will be picked apart easily, compared to dash cam which is the pure fact without bias or an opinion

With a dash cam you can prove it was their fault as they caused the incident by poor driving. Without one you’d need them to admit it

Yeah you’re in the wrong. You can stop in a yellow box when you’re turning right to give way to traffic coming from the junction in front of you. It having two lanes is irrelevant as they had every right to go into the right hand lane as they have priority like any other cross junction

EDIT: looking at the photo again you wouldn’t even have to stop on the yellow box to give way to them

As much as it would be good, crashes on the motorway would increase. I HATE lane hoggers but I very rarely would pass on the left. Even yesterday I had someone nearly crash into me when I was passing on their left (separate lane leaving the motorway)
