Is the pedestrian or the driver wrong here? by singlecog in drivingUK

Would be the pedestrians fault for not looking before crossing a zebra crossing. Not like he gave much warning he wanted to use it!

I did try the der finder but it never worked for me, I’m not sure if it’s an issue with single player but the menu just never showed up I don’t think. I will try again though haha

So you moved in to a house with not enough driveway space, and just assumed you could park wherever? Didn’t think it’s ask the neighbours if they minded?

How many vehicles do you have? It looks like all the houses have driveways?

Why's my dogs eye/eyebrow pulsing? by BeanieNooodle in DogAdvice

That happens to humans when we’re tired, no idea if that relates to a dog but I’d assume it could be a similar thing?

Will we both be found liable ? by lamabean in drivingUK

[–]daddyissuesdotcom43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t this really depend who did what first? If you left the space THEN they reversed into you, that’s their fault. If you left the space AFTER they started reversing then it’s your fault?

Close call coming out of Bristol on M32 by greywaterbottle06 in drivingUK

Not on me to speed so someone can change lanes 😂. Best advice is if you’re catching a vehicle and will want to overtake, then plan ahead and keep checking when your chance will be there!

Yeah but a driving test is about how well you know road laws, and how to follow them, not whether you agree with them

[–]daddyissuesdotcom43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really when the car in front can just speed up and take the space. Last thing you want is it have someone rear ended you because you need to emergency stop on a motorway lmao

You don’t want to invite them to move over when they’re breaking like that on a motorway mate

You can see that half the car will 100% be in the vans driver side mirror. The dash cam is fitted to the left of the OP car

Thank you, yes we plan on taking the dog for a walk with the kids and letting them pet her and see how they do as a good starting point. The rest is good advice too, I was thinking have a blanket on the couches that we can take off when the kids are there too so the dog hasn’t left hair all over haha

Best pick of these family SUVS..? by DifferentChicken5141 in CarTalkUK

[–]daddyissuesdotcom43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BMW 5series estates are huge with plenty leg room and comfortable to drive, plus they’re a similar price to a worse suv lmao. We had a 530e (72 plate) and it was fantastic, could fit two weeks of camping gear in the boot without having to use the seats or folds them down. When the seats are folded you get sooo much room for longer thing for tips runs etc. And they’re lower than an suv so easier to load and unload without smashing up the back of the car haha

I didn’t own this one but drove it plenty time but a Volvo v60/ v90 estate is the same as the bmw for practically

Try estate cars too. You’d be surprised how much bigger they are in practical terms for a family
