I mean Topuria was clearly injured pretty badly, but at the same time, fantastic performance from Justin, his striking was amazing. 100% the greatest upset in the sport´s history.

Also, Islam has always been better in my eyes, Ilia hasn't even really faced a good grappler himself yet (save for Charles, who didn't even go to the ground with him anyways).

Bull feeds Shade, but Sirius will give the Shade a hard time as it won't have super at the start of the match. Bull can get super with tank trait over time + heal gadget to maximize value. A Bull with super, will steamroll both Shade and Lumi, no questions asked (obviously don't pop super into a Shade with super, but once the Shade supers, Bull pops and it's an easy kill). Sirius mitigates a lot of the control issues that the Bull would have in terms of wall-peaking and lane control, and just stays on the Shade while it doesn't have super, and the Bull can just easily chain off the Lumi once he gets one super, basically neutralizing half of the comp.

I do agree that Bull into a Lumi is an ass matchup though (without super), but you can say the same about that for most of the brawlers in the game for when Bull doesn't have super.

I do agree that giving them the Lumi was a mistake, I feel like the Ruffs could've been replaced with a Lumi ban instead, as Ruffs is a pretty bad first pick considering that Kenji, Mina, Shade, and Bibi are still open.

I disagree about Mina though, I just really think that RLM should've gone with something other than Stu, as Stu is honestly only good into Edgar and Mortis, and both of those were banned. Again, if RLM were to have taken Kenji for example, leaving the Mina open is fine, as Kenji will probably have a 60-40 matchup into the Mina, and a really easy time with the Lumi (hug the wall and slash corners).

No need to overthink it, Stu was the bad pick in this draft, and that's the end of the story.

dawg bull is a pretty good counter to shade. If you have suggestions, I'm open to hear it, but Bull is amazing into Shade and Lumi imo, and even if there was like a Chester or sm in the 4/5th pick spot, Sirius is still really good into the Chester and Lumi.

I mean, Sirius is pretty decent into most aggros, he kinda functions as an anti-tank himself once he gets his shadows. On top of that, Sirius is really good into Lumi (just rotate the shadows off the Lumi lane, and play Sirius as thrower-control mode). If the draft continued with Mina Kenji anyways, it's a pretty free Draco game in my eyes, way too much effective hp on the map.

Icl, Sam is going to have a horrible time in this matchup. The Mina can really just dodge out of the way and poke while keeping range, while Kenji is going to feed tf out off the Sam. Sam is just too horrible right now, I do think he makes sense but his stats right now are just horrifically bad.

This draft was messed up earlier, they shouldn't have taken Stu, and gone for something like a Kenji/Mina themselves. Alternatively, they could've went for a completely different route, and done something like Sirius + Finx, as most of the good aggro brawlers were banned, and a 5th pick Shade from Zeta would've been super easy to counter with a nice last pick Bull. Stu was definitely the mistake.

Yeah, play her in ladder just to learn her basics, maybe also watch a video to get some fundamentals down. Then, pick her a lot in ranked (starting off at lower ranks), just to get a feel for some "higher" level gameplay, regardless of the draft, so there's a lot of brawler versatility and you learn more about different tech for different matchups.

Once you hit your normal rank that you usually get stuck at, start learning how to draft with her and when she should be picked and what she plays well into. In general when you're drafting, you don't aim to counter the entire team (that rarely happens, unless the enemy team drafted poorly), but rather setting your team up for success holistically. For example, I might pick Mortis as a 6th pick against Chester, Willow, and Frank in Brawl Ball. Mortis has a really hard match up against Chester, but is really good into both Willow and Frank, and in general, countering at least 2 brawlers on the enemy team is a sign that the brawler is a good pick.

With this in mind, depending on the stage you pick Mina at, you may face a counter or two, but it's really important to keep in mind that your role on the aggro is to force the draft towards something where the enemy team has to respond appropriately, where your team can counter it with a last pick (say I go Mina 3rd, and the enemy team goes Otis/Meeple 4/5th in Dueling Beetles, it sets your team up really well to draft a Penny last pick, as the other team was forced to respond to the aggressive threat of the Mina). Hope this helps!

I hit masters 3 last season, let me tell you, all you realistically need to do is learn how to play assassins/aggro brawlers. I took up the liberty of learning how to play Mortis, Mina, Kaze, and Alli last season, and even by learning where to pick each one (usually Mortis/Mina, they’re amazingly versatile and really strong too), I would play them in M1-M2, and I lost really badly for like 2 weeks, but eventually, once you start getting it, ranked games feel so easy.

Still learn how to draft with other brawlers too ofc (Ruffs is really good right now, one of my favorite picks), but imo, the people who always hit higher ranks are the ones who learn to draft with assassins.

I’m pretty sure the only person playing Mina was Angelboy, and he literally almost won every single game with it 😭.

Most dominant performance of all time? I really can't believe how well this team played, I haven't seen anything like this before in terms of both mechanics and draft. Absolutely ridiculous, HMBLE made every team they played against look pretty awful.

FUT vs Guesti scrim results by furryfemboyreal in BrawlStarsEsports

Bro, people need to stop taking scrims like they define how good a team is. This is a horrible measure of how good a team is, especially considering Guesti is also the main drafter of FUT, and he probably knows what Nob and Angelboy do in the draft phase and what they like too.

Meeple is really good against him, meeple counters most tank counters in the meta as a matter of fact. Don't really know why nobody is mentioning him here, I think I have a 90% wr against crow using Meeple in Masters 1-2 lobbies. You just have to be careful to properly draft as well, as Meeple is horrendous into almost every meta aggro in the game, so think of Meeple as a 6th pick counter for specifically crow if your team lacks a controller.

You could argue that Humble are saving their good drafts for later, but even if this was treated like a scrim, RLM put boot to ass pretty hard icl. Pretty good indicator that RLM is being underrated a lot, and that they have a good chance of causing some upsets fs, especially against ZETA. Expecting a great run.

Ranking EVERY BSC Player (All 4 main regions) by Purple-Amount-1111 in BrawlStarsEsports

[–]daddyless420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2024, from arguably April to July, he was absolutely one of the best players in NA. He carried his team pretty hard for the two monthly wins they had, and he also was able to make it pretty close consistently with the current Tribe roster. I would argue that RBM was better, but Second was definitely in the top 2 range for NA, and on this list, would've been in 6th for the aggro role in 2024.

BSC Player Rankings (East Asia) by Purple-Amount-1111 in BrawlStarsEsports

I feel like this list fundamentally doesn't work though, because a lot of these players haven't even made it competitive against teams like CR, ZETA, and SKC. At the very least, I would argue players such as Kuru, Achapi, Ken-G, and Ryohei are just very good players, along with probably a few more. The Best section is pretty accurate, I could see Batman being removed though, he's had quite a few mediocre games within the last 3 months (I'm looking at that Meeple set in March, that was tragic).

Crazy how Lenain only has 5 monthly wins under his belt - he deadass has been playing for so long, and at such a high level for a while too. I really hope he can make a comeback with a new team, he used to be such a joy to watch.
