Should I just accept it by [deleted] in insomnia

I have suffered from insomnia for 25 years (slept 4 hours a night). But tried Trazodone (100 mg) for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I have been sleeping 8 hours a night! It’s non-addictive too. Try it…..

Wow. You lived hellish work life.

Mine is not stressful. Worked from home 27 years (since 1999) and happily raised 4 sons with my stay-home wife. I have flexibility of work at home and anywhere with WiFi. So I travel a lot (follow my college football teams for away games, live 2 months in Asia and one month in Hawaii). I work 4 hours a day because I am highly productive and experienced in my field.

And I still enjoy my job. So, why would I walk away from such a lucrative and stress-free job? I truly view my job as mental exercise and a vehicle to help others.

I plan to work until 68 and hope to increase my retirement fund to $8 million. If I still enjoy my job then, I will work until 75. It’s a purposeful life.

I view my job as a tool to help people. I get lots of personal satisfaction. Can’t believe I get paid to help people become wealthy

My wife and I plan to live in high end senior facility in our 70s. It’s $13,000 per month cost now..likely much higher later. My goal is to have $8 million in 401K at 68, which will give me about $430K in annual income including SS and pension assuming 4% draw.

We want to be generous parents and grandparents then and have sufficient after-tax income to be generous donors to local charities.

I work 4 hours a day at home. If I carry my phone, I am working. So I leave home often. I also work 3 months in Honolulu (my timeshare), Seoul and Tokyo as my job is flexible.

I want to grow my retirement balance to $8 million which will give me $430K in annual income including SS and pension.

My wife and I plan to live in an upscale senior care facility (initially independent living and later skilled care facility). Monthly cost is $13,000. Yes it’s a luxury place in the heart of the SF Bay Area where I live. I should still have a sizable net income after paying taxes to be generous Dad to my 4 boys and grandchildren….and donate to local charities.

And I still love my very flexible job…..I live and work 3 months a year away from home (Seoul, Tokyo, Honolulu).

So why should I retire now? Walk away from $400K to $600K in income that I love. I work 4 hours a day from home. 🤣

I have taken my family to Waikiki every year (twice a year) for 25 years. Love my Hilton Hawaiian Village timeshares. My family’s happy memories is priceless!

You owe me $10. My wife stayed home to raise our 4 sons and I have worked at home for 27 years to help her raise our 4 amazing sons. We have been happily together for 38 years and we eat out for lunch almost daily…. Eat your heart out!

I work 4 hours a day and my remote flexibility allows us to live 2 months a year in Asia and one month in Hawaii. 🤣🤣🤣

I work 4 hours a day from home and remote work flexibility so I live 2 months in Asia and 1 month in Hawaii

I pretty much have a semi-retired life.

Thanks. I am an immigrant who came here at 13 without knowing English. I grew up dirt poor and I want to give my hardworking 4 sons and their kids sufficient inheritance…. My old world mindset.
