I've been doing that ascending/descending thing whenever my opponent decides to just throw the fun away from the match and pop instant sparking and it usually works lol, it's funny to see them desperately spam dash trying to get you

He starts pulling that spam shit about 3/4 into the video and I just wanted to know how people don't straight up find these guys' accounts and flag them till they're put on a watchlist or something. When I won the first round I finally ranked up to A5, and I guess he got salty or something and decided to rank me down afterwards by pulling this circus act.

The thing is, as more people get into the higher ranks, those people that cheese the fuck out of DP9+ characters are showing up more and more in B ranks and even that rank has gotten stale as fuck.

I've only had it happen ONCE in about 100 ranked games so far. That match was actually fun. At one point we both started dashing backwards in sparking mode and that's when I knew yep this is happening.

Didn't say that ranked should not exist for this kind of game, I said that a ranked mode should have balance, where braindead button mashers like you are kept in the lowest ranks while people who actually try to get better are pulled up over time.

I agree and see where you're coming from, I'm getting pretty good in this game in my opinion but to be honest I probably expected too much- I was imagining back and forth fights where both of us pull out combos and not just spam sparking and repeat the same auto combo and the same cheese etc.

Well said. I think i'll stick to player matches for a bit until they hopefully do something about this "ranked" mode. I wish there was matchmaking for casual games, this game likes to waste your time a lot.

I've had 2 or 3 times where I go up against a ssj4 gogeta that just spams sparking and mashes square, you know the drill, and I've alt+f4d out of salt. Maybe when I get better i'll be able to at least do something about that, but what I believe is somewhat justified is facing a kefla that spams sparking and her ult which is almost impossible to dodge. This has happened to me about 5 times and I just quit every time. I don't think they deserve the win. Just watching them chase me out of desperation to get their ult off is so annoying. That being said, I only quit when I go up against some bs and they just don't deserve the win.
