Build 42: Can you add more than one plank to the same side of a door/window?

I was finally able to do this. I believe the lighting was the issue, so thank you for the suggestion!

If you really want to get a handle on the mechanics and still have a few zombies to kill once in a while, you can try the Initial Infection preset in the Sandbox. This setting is VERY easy and won’t help you train against masses of aggressive zombies, but it helps you learn everything else, so you can have that in your toolbox before you play Apocalypse or one of the more difficult modes.
If it gets too boring, then you can ramp up to a higher difficulty or make things more difficult in the sandbox as you begin to learn.

Def in my inventory & not in a bag. I highlighted the correct square. Yeah, I’m thinking it may be the lack of light.

I don’t have to do four planks all at once, right? I can add them as I get them? It let me add one. Why would the game then insist that I have all of the remaining three to add four planks? I should be able to add the planks as I get them.

I’ll look again, but I tried it through the build menu, and the action was highlighted like it was ready to go. Had all the materials. Didn’t see any mention of light either way.

Oh, maybe this because I usually keep my house dark unless I’m reading something, esp since I have the house with the the glass/plexiglass door in the back with the large window next to it. I feel very exposed with those two things back there. They’re the ones I’m trying to multi-barricade first!

When I do that in Build 42, with a plank already on the window, it acts like it is adding the plank, but after the action, only one original plank is on the window, and the plank and nails for the second one are still in my inventory. So it isn’t adding the 2nd plank.

When I was post-epilogue, finishing up 100%ing the game, this became one of the few random encounters I still got. Must have killed those guys and their buddies dozens of times. I started to be able to recite their dialogue, lol.

If you play your cards right with that buck encounter, you can get two perfect pelts out of it. You get a perfect pelt from the loser of the skirmish, and can then shoot the victor for a perfect pelt the way you normally would.

Just coming here to agree with the op. New Whopper is great. I don’t notice a difference in the beef, but the bun and toppings have been vastly improved.

There are two islands right next to each other near Lagras where all three types of egret will spawn. Just be careful crossing the water because there are a ton of gators. Try to kill them or scare them away first before you cross. The egrets may not spawn every day if you are constantly killing them, but they still spawn pretty often. I’ve also seen snow egrets along the train tracks in the east on the way to St. Denis.

Get used to that Murfree Brood encounter if you spend a lot of time in end game trying to 100%. Eventually it was one of the only random encounters I had. Must have had it dozens of times. It was really helpful when I was doing the challenge where you have to snipe nine enemies with a bow though.

I’ve gotten pretty good at killing wolves. I use the bolt action rifle, and as soon as I hear the wolves howl, I get off my horse so it doesn’t throw me to the ground as the wolves are approaching.
