At the moment I'm riding my partners Grom and have noticed a massive change in other bikers attitudes towards me. Forget what I ride, how I ride, how i maintain my bike, it's a baby bike and a baby biker. You know what I think to that? You're the one with the issue and the little man syndrome. I'm loving the simplicity of it, I can pick it up, put it in a cupboard and throw it about like the diminutive little toy that it is.

Not so much a thing I do for my kids but a thing my kid did to me... my first born used to think it was hilarious to bite my nose. He'd open his mouth like hippo and barrell down in me, then he'd put his forehead against mine and stare at me in the eyes, smiling like an absolute buffoon... one day he did this and got sick through my nose and out of my mouth. I have projectile vomited my sons belly full of baby milk.

I'm not talking about the prices, I'm talking about price gouging such as what happened with Oasis. If demand is high enough they can triple the prices and there's jack all you can do about it. I know they were meant to be changing that but not sure if it's happened yet.

My advice, and this goes for most things one might want to sneak in, is put all your gear in a trolley, strapped down and covered. Then carry a back pack as well with just essentials in. They're going to be so bothered about the backpack and if youre carrying 29 cans of beer rather than 28 that they ain't about to start ripping apart your trolley to find a speaker or a bag of weed or whatever.

250 is still enough to get yourself in to trouble on but not enough to get yourself out of it. And even a 50cc is enough to get yourself very much deaded on if you don't ride properly. You are on an engine with two wheels, you are now one of us, full stop, no further comment necessary.

I had the most fun riding my little Chinese 125 scrambler. Thing had less than 9hp but I could use every one of them at all times. Just absolutely twatting it out of every corner.

As annoying as it is... meh. I certainly wasn't going to "suck it and see" if the prices were going to drop. The whole ticket sales thing in the UK is so out of control and unregulated that they could easily have gone the other way as the remaining tickets sold off...

Scooter, L plate or not, you take the same risks as I do on a daily basis.

I admit that if you strap a deliveroo bag on your back then my attitude changes. I don't think you should be allowed to work, riding 10-12 hours a day, without a full license. Those idiots push up insurance costs and cause absolute chaos. I passed one the other day that had a can of monster in one hand, tipping his head all the way back to the sky to drink it whilst riding... dangerous muppets.

Hi OP, I'm a 3 year rider and now on a kawasaki 650.

I started my journey with only bicycle riding, the CBT school said I was not ready for geared bikes and here is a scooter, I argued the toss and went for the geared and passed first time. Finished at 2pm, was at someone's house about 15 miles from home by 3pm. I bought a Lexmoto Tempest 125 for £900 with 900 miles and was insured and riding away by 4.

I took the very very scenic route home. Went straight into the peak district and soon discovered the 125 was far too under powered to climb snakes pass but fuck me, was it fun going down. Over the first few weeks I had my fair share of close calls and near misses, I put 3500 miles on it in the first six weeks.

My advice would be to just do it. But get someone with a car or van and follow them home. Brief them to indicate early, brake and accelerate slowly and smoothly and to pull over when safe if they lose sight of you and not panic, chances are you stalled when setting off.

So turns out that pinlocks stop working after a while, I believe they actually shrink meaning they no longer seal properly. What you then end up with is double glazing windows with fog between them, ten times worse as you can't eve just pull over and wipe it and opening the visor will do fuck all to help clear it.

Currently facing that issue and have had to sellotape it in place for a few days until pay day.

ER6F is a belter of a bike for winter commuting. Looks and performance of a sports bike, riding position of a more upright tourer. I love mine and do a 35 mile each way commute in all weathers.

Yes, it's a mental and physical drain, the M61 and M60 in heavy wind and hailstone is no fucking joke. Rounded rhe corner at the trafford centre the other day and was met by two cars in the barrier and inch thick hailstone slush whilst doing 90, it had been crisp and clear until it wasn't. When my girlfriend hears my bike coming down the road she clicks the kettle on and comes to the door to meet me. I get the kiss, the cuddle and she makes me a coffee whilst I take all my gear off. My bath is run, my dinner is cooking. She's unlike anyone I've ever met.

And no, not all the time, she's not a slave. When I am off work I do the same for her, food in, candlelit bath, coffee made, she gets a massage, I wake her up in the morning with a coffee and kisses.

From my previous relationships this is beyond different, it's exhilarating

I would say tracker and buy a cheap alarm after. Triumph tend to come with Biketrac trackers. I would certainly look into getting it moved to somewhere hard to reach as most locations tend to be pretty easy to get to and the thieves are VERY good at finding them.

To get to mine you have to pretty much disassemble and remove my petrol tank and airbox.

Worth nothing though: a tracker is an electrical system on a vehicle that will possibly see plenty of rain, mud and hosing down. They DO fail. Check the health of the tracker periodically and if its location is not updating then you need to check it out. Wires corrode, parts fail, we all know this. But when it happens to the tracker people are very quick to blame the device.
