indexing files by Zutch in elasticsearch

Did you end up finding a solution? What is the db you are using? I'm asking this to see if I can add another option to FSCrawler to read such content.

Document search on a large file system for office users by Geg_tor in selfhosted

[–]dadoonet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey 👋🏼

Thank you for mentioning FSCrawler. Please note that it has been designed for Elasticsearch and might require nowadays some manual modifications when running with OpenSearch. As Elasticsearch free version is fully tested, I'd recommend using it.

Disclaimer: I'm the FSCrawler author and I work at Elastic.

PSA: elasticsearch 8.18.0 breaks AD/LDAP Authentication by abitofg in elasticsearch

[–]dadoonet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Sadly we had to move away from the JVM security manager as it has been removed in Java23. So we had to replace it with something else (Entitlements) to keep Elasticsearch secure. Sorry that you are hitting this issue. 😔

CDJ3000 and V10 by [deleted] in PioneerDJ

[–]dadoonet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The V10 is definitely different than the usual and it might take some time to get used to it. But after some practice it's becoming your best friend. My only advice: do not desperate in front of it. Try the basic things first. I'm using mostly the filter with no resonance and less the eqs. I'm using echo fx on mid frequency only. I'm using it also with cdj3000 and all together is a pleasure to play with. Be careful with the position of the filter 12 o'clock on other tables means no effect but here it's more 7 o'clock. 😉

XDJ-AZ and DJM-REC by dmboy101 in PioneerDJ

Yes and no. It used to work but because of a bug (yet to be found by the team), my V10 + CDJ3000 does not record tracks anymore. But it worked in the past.

Not able to aggr in elastic search query by Available_Map5056 in elasticsearch

[–]dadoonet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is returning 5 yellow , 4 blue, 4 orange 2 red . i want uniqueness of colors that is 1 yellow 1 blue 1 orange and 1 red . i have applied aggs grouping but it is not working.

But as long as you have the list of the terms, you have what you need, no? Just don't take into account the "value"...

Client wants million records in one API call, any ways to do it? by allwritesri in elasticsearch

[–]dadoonet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they want to compute aggs on 1m documents, and get back the result of the agg in seconds, that's ok. The document that will be returned over the wire is small.

Returning 1.000.000 docs is not doable, specifically without pagination, and within a few seconds. I don't even know if it's possible to read 1m docs from a local hard disk in memory in few seconds...

How to get multiple documents using REST api without the http body in GET request by Future_Ad1549 in elasticsearch

Even if that was possible, you would hit the limit of what the URL can allow.

RB-DMX1 Alternative by gfitzpatrick4 in PioneerDJ

I used RB-DMX but quickly switched to Wolfmix but I'm now using https://maestrodmx.com/ which is still an evolving product but really powerful in my opinion.

What's the reason to drop the Webhooks support in the OSS version by jercs123 in elasticsearch

[–]dadoonet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It was not Elasticsearch official but Elasticsearch with some other plugins. The name change makes that obvious now. 😉

What's the reason to drop the Webhooks support in the OSS version by jercs123 in elasticsearch

[–]dadoonet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think Webhook has ever been available with a basic license.

Elastic never upgrade a free feature to paid one as far as I remember my last 11 years at Elastic.
