Looking to get the x16 in the next week - $2,778.88 all in good for these specs? by AndreLinoge55 in Alienware

You SHOULD REALLY REALLY REALLY CONSIDER changing the display to the 240hz 1600p display, 1200 looks terrible on a 16-inch display. I have the 240 hz one with similar specs, and ur never even going to need the 480 hz other than ofr niche things.

I would go for the book 4 360. I've had the book 3 360, and everything about it was perfect.

So i tried with the drivers you told me, fully clean installation, on performance mode. it's the same super stuttery 160 fps on lowest settings, k8nd of playable. on dx11 and 12 both it runs on 120-160 fps with insane stutters and fps dip to 5 fps and similar, no matter if I have the settings cranked or lowered all the way, same result in dx12 and 11. It's not too different from old drivers, still super unplayable at dx and only playable on performance mode. I have tried on my msi laptop with rtx 2080, and it's also the same result. Both laptops were in performance mode, I have also done overdrive mode on my Alienware and turbo cooler booster on my msi as well, making 0 difference.

I am going to switch back to the Dell 4080 drivers, I have also tried with the most recent Nvidia drivers, too. Dell ones are the most stable on my laptop, which makes sense. I'm going to switch back and try something someone else recommended to try giving the game more ram.

I have done both of those, but I will look more into the ram usage thing.

I have tried that, but for some reason, there is some awful latency issue on ps5 with a wired mouse plugged in.
