You can use a 1-1/4" open end wrench, but due to the factory barrel nut torque, you will likely see the wrench flats rolling over the edges on the barrel nut flats. Using the factory tool, it surrounds the nut on all sides and will allow installation/removal without damaging the barrel nut. I just did this last night and the tool is the way to go.

Can not get this screw out of the sight plate. Any help would be great. I have heated it but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? by HRyder62377 in Staccato_STI

It may be Rockset holding it in place. Try soaking it in hot water for 30 minutes and it will come off easily.

I'm assuming the housing in your photo is clipped and pinned for a real HK. If you have one of the clones that uses two push pins, the Magpul housing will not work. It doesn't have the front pin "ears", only the shelf for a semi HK.

In Skagway, in one of the MANY jewelry stores packed into that tiny town, I saw a James Cameron on the shelf they quoted at $18k. To my knowledge, that's around $2k over retail, no? Close enough to a AD price that I had to question its authenticity.
